Reminiscing

Reminiscing comes easy for this old lady.

There have been awesome experiences in my life (random order): (1) Living and traveling in Europe; (2) traveling in the United States with a variety of “recreation vehicles”; (3) wife, and mother; (4) interesting employment experiences. The list is endless and those identified (above) are (repeat) random order. (Being an “RVer” prompted me to list travel experiences first.) “Bad” memories, too: A horrible accident in May 2003 when my tow vehicle and travel trailer were totally destroyed. Praise God, I walked away from the accident!!

“Bad memories” include October 2017. Friday the 13th identifies the day a terrible meal was served to the CARE Center residents. Sunday, October 15th (two years ago today), I passed a clipboard and solicited signatures voicing our displeasure with unhealthy meals.

Followers of my blog know that I review days and dates. Today I reference the “bad memory” and direct the reader to the website I created with details about the meal, the clipboard, and the eviction from the CARE Center.

Searching for “Fall” !!

Is there a conspiracy against me (lol)?
Involuntary and unappreciated interruption in my proposed projects!! For weeks, it was “too hot” to prepare for a yard sale. Suddenly it is “too cold” (for this old lady) to continue preparation (outdoors) for a yard sale. What happened to “Fall”?

.

Another view of “family history”

A package arrived in the mail. I was eager to see the contents. I slowly unwrapped… and had an appreciation for the careful packaging. A “non-relative” found the Bible among books donated to a library and (quite possibly) went to great lengths to try to locate a descendant. In response to an earlier email message, I wrote: “No, the spouse is not on my branch of the tree but I’ll see if I can locate a descendant.”  Here’s a link to Margaret Emily Reynolds Frantz in my Ancestry.com database. ~~ Almost the entire day devoted to attaching this material to the immediate family. An email message sent to “cousins” hoping they will “spread the word” and put me in touch with a descendant. “Another view…”  because NOT my traditional data entry.

Friday the eleventh of October

Yesterday the heat returned (for a day). Another “cold front” arriving so we will enjoy cooler weather through the weekend.

.

“No news” for about half an hour. No NBC Today show and no Internet. Light rain and cooler temperature is “good news.”

Shocking news ?!

.

“Shock”  to “the old lady”!! I’ve been wearing a sweater “indoors” and a jacket when I went “outdoors.” A/C yesterday and furnace today. Correction: No furnace today because the furnace isn’t working!! (Remember, I paid for repairs last Winter.) Forty (40) degrees drop in temperature in twenty-four hours!! Burr-r-r.

Note: Day and date corrected on the indoor/outdoor thermometer.  🙂

Slanket time!!
