Kind words !!

You’re Moving On!!

Hoping from this point on the move/unpacking/organizing will be both smoother and cooler.
Now! Lorraine!! (You do clipart, I do exclamations!)
This move is not about losing independence. There may occasionally be physical or mobility issues, but Lorraine you have a brain. Until your brain stops functioning (and it never will) you will never lose your independence.
You are the most diehard, independent I know!
Celebrate this awesome nation’s birthday this coming 4th AND celebrate your own awesome independence with lots of clipart and the beauty of you and our flag flying high on your blog.
Lots of love,
Good Old Cousin Nora

This tired old lady is so delighted with the email message (above). Today, I’ve been recuperating from yesterday’s labor and heat. Honestly, I ache all over. I intended to publish a blog message mid-morning about the breakfast treat. I intended… but I’ve done nada, zip, zero today.  Every Thursday, we get an omelet prepared with the ingredients of our choice. Mine is a veggie omelet.

“Half-dead” tired !!

If I was “dead tired,” I’d be dead, wouldn’t I?

Just one “before” picture (below). There are more pictures (weeks ago) of the “stuff” in the carport.

I failed to get a picture of the two young women who thoroughly cleaned the trailerfrom nine until noonfront to back, floor to ceiling. Then the carpet cleaners arrived.

Postscript at 8:00 PM: My legs got me to my apartment but they refused to take me to the five o’clock evening meal. Minutes ago, I got out of the shower where I washed off sweat and grime. Now I’m headed to bed. GOOD day, good night.

One small step…

Thank goodness for the Internet; grateful for Google!! Without a soul to assist me, I searched for an answer regarding the sale of my trailer home. I “listed” with what appears to be an aggressive business. I’ll let the reader know how things progress. ~~~~ At least this “one small step” was sitting down at the computer. Earlier today, my walking and lifting left me so tired I could hardly walk to the dining room for lunch. (Delicious lunch; the meals are very good!)

Good news, bad news

I dread tomorrow!! Good news: I have cleaning people scheduled to clean my trailer home. Bad news: The weather is so miserably hot and I suspect I’ll be “hanging out” in the carport. There are projects I can do in the yard and carport so my time won’t be wasted–just HOT.

Honest truth

It isn’t seven o’clock in the morning and I’m already exhausted. I emptied two crates of bathroom itemsbut nothing more. If I could fall asleep, I’d go back to bed. ~~ I’m on that proverbial “sky hook” again as I try to (1) arrange for a buyer for my trailer home, (2) a cleaning crew to make the trailer home spic and span, (3) an antique dealer for collectibles, and (4) a new home for the bottle bushes and bottle trees.

POSTSCRIPT @ 8:25 AM and 11:20 AM: Another very hot day but I’ll be indoors with A/C. Honest truth: The thermometer is in the sunshine and contributes to the high temperature. Later: I did a little “engineering” by adding batteries to the temperature sensor, clock, and TV remote. Eighty degrees inside my apartment before I moved the sensor to the balcony.

.

POSTSCRIPT @ 4:50 PM: I am so grateful that my apartment windows, and balcony, do not face West. OMG, those apartments must be hot as an oven.

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way”

Old lady Lorraine was desperate to arrive at a small measure of organization. Things were heavy and it was hot in the bedroom but despite “hot and heavy” old lady Lorraine got it done!! Now I can move things from the living room, and bathroom, into the bedroom, and my apartment won’t appear so cluttered. Confession: I was desperate to locate the box with panties and bras. The box was buried under many other boxes. Soon I can organize my wardrobe. HALLELUJAH!!

POSTSCRIPT @ 5:00 PM: After I rested for a while, I moved things from the living room and entry. Now it is a matter of unpacking some of the boxes and putting things in the appropriate place. I have a box ready for things as a donation to Goodwill.
