Saturday silence (with one important exception)

“Low in the grave He lay”  is an old hymn repeating in my mind.

1
Low in the grave He lay—
  Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day—
  Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
  Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2
Vainly they watch His bed—
  Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead—
  Jesus my Lord!
3
Death cannot keep his prey—
  Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away—
  Jesus my Lord!

“Turn on the heater; make coffee!”

My early morning mantra “I don’t want to get up; I don’t want to get up.”  But “projects” are demanding attention!! Thankfully, after a little effort, delicious coffee!! ~~ Per meteorologist Al Roker, NBC-TV Today show, 7:17 AM: “Sixteen million people at risk.” (Severe weather.)

Double-check Facebook ?!

This morning–with so much publicity about Facebook–I went to my page to check the extent of my visibility. I’ve stated frequently that I am not participating in social media. To my amazement, there were many greetings for my birthday (twenty-five days ago) that I was unaware of. My apology to friends because I did not acknowledge their wishes. ~~ E-mail messages welcome!!

No sales but productive Wednesday !?

.

As predicted, a major thunder-storm blankets our area. Naturally, it “put a damper”  on my yard sale but I don’t mind. I accomplished two loads of laundry while working on projects under the shelter of the patio roof. Previously unmarked items are now priced and on display in the carport. The lights (with Casablanca fans) are an asset and allowed me to “see what I was doing”  (otherwise too dark). ~~ Took an exceptionally long time to publish this blog message because Hughes satellite Internet reception was limited. Four-thirty as I type this and I suspect my DISH satellite TV reception is, likewise, limited.

Repeat: Took an exceptionally long time to publish this blog message because Hughes satellite Internet reception was limited. Finally able to publish at nine-fifty PM. ~~ Off topic: My yard is a river and lake!!
