Any day now, I won’t be able to post messages on this site. My subscription is due for renewal and I will not renew. I refuse to pay $600.00 for additional space so I can upload pictures and clipart. I hope the reader can find me at Eighty-eight and counting. At this hour, 6:10 AM Wednesday, October 18th, the other website is “under construction.”

Postscript on 21 Oct 2023: I had the foresight to remove my credit card information (from WordPress) so they could not automatically renew my subscription.

Yes, WordPress sent an email requesting a payment update. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could bill them for all my frustration and sleepless nights?

Depressed, discouraged, disillusioned… 😦

I’m not happy with the features of my new website. I will keep tweaking… and meanwhile, you can find me at Eighty-eight and Counting.

Moments later: Well, that was a disaster. So much work on the new site and the individual messages were not displayed. OMG!!   😦  😦  😦

This is what I anticipated that you would see. (Click that link.) Even as I prepare this sentence, and this paragraph, I hasten to say that this link may not continue to be available (as I continue to work on the site). Again, I say “discouraged.”

A new blog message was prepared and published on Eighty-eight and Counting. I’m brain-weary so I won’t attempt to describe the obstacle course that I’ve encountered.

Very briefly, my thoughts on this Sunday afternoon.

I’m so glad that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and provides for me. SERIOUSLY!! As the old hymn goes I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer.

I’m sad because I am unable to do the things I used to do. My tools were stolen from the carport of my trailer home so I can’t accomplish some projects in my new residence. Our facility is short of staff so I can’t request assistance. Regrettably, there are things at my former residence that need to go to a new location and I can’t get them from “point A to point B.”

“Sad”  isn’t the accurate expression for my blog problems. “MAD” is a better description. I am at a standstill as I attempt to create a new blog site. “Real live people”—with WordPress—offer suggestions and links to tutorials but I’m not one inch closer to a satisfactory new location. (Time to give up blogging?)

Old age is a bummer!!

No family, no assistance, no maintenance.

Here is the message I sent to WordPress. I emphasized my request with words in “bold” and “underlined” and “highlighted.”

Greetings from Lorraine. I DESPERATELY NEED HELP!!!!

I do not want the expense of “Business” or paying that ridiculous amount of money for extra space. I don’t need or want all the extra features of “Business.” I’ve been trying to start a new blog site and it is incredibly complicated. I never had that much trouble creating blog sites in the past (check and see that I have several). I just want a very simple heading and I want to be able to create messages with Classic Editor.

If you check my account, you will see that I have recently been billed for several features. I think I have duplicates and I’m still unable to get to Eighty-Eight and Counting and create an attractive message (like I was able to do with Three Quarters And Counting).

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give your time and attention to this long-time subscriber.
