Greetings from a Forrester

No, not the family on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

“Forrester” defined Lorraine style: Old lady climbing family trees.

The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises. – Leo Buscaglia

You don’t have a garden just for yourself. You have it to share. – Augusta Carter

What a man takes in by contemplation, that he pours out in love. – Meister Eckhart

Quite by accident (7 Oct 2019), I discovered some of my research notes were “saved” on twenty-two Ancestry Member Family Trees (from my Ancestry tree to their Ancestry tree).

Preparing for another “yard sale”

Unadvertised “yard sale” but I’ll get the information in the newspaper soon. I “tidyied” the carport (and porch) by “blowing” leaves into an area where riding lawnmower can “chop” and bag. Friends and neighbors have first choice of items. “My prices are negotiable”  so (as before) I may not make enough sales to pay for the ad. C’est la vie!

“Finding Your Roots” on PBS

I’m a devotee; I love the PBS program titled “Finding Your Roots.”  A new season was announced; Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. I often marvel at the information I discover in my research. I have to quadruple marvel at the information found by those researchers. How do they do it? (I don’t expect an answer to that question.)

Speaking of challenges

I walked around the corner
And what did I see?
This pretty flower,
smiling at me!

‘Twas a thought,
a sign for me:
“You, too, will survive;
Trust in Me.”

.

The soil is dry and lacks substance. This flower is a “volunteer”; nothing I planted and totally foreign to this novice gardener. A joy to behold!!
