Hanging on the wall in my home, this hologram of Jesus Christ. It was very inspirational to see it illuminated by a ray of morning sunshine.

The freezing temperature probably killed all my plants?!Link to blog message, last year, when I was surveying the damage from hard freeze–and the planters had been covered.

On previous occasions, with threats of freezing temperatures, I got out old sheets, tablecloths, shower curtain, and commercial covers. I’d brave the cold and cover my plants. See earlier blog message: Preparing for freezing temperatures published Nov 22, 2015. Also: Preparing for Mr. Frost ‘r Freeze published Nov. 30, 2016. ~~ This year, my beloved “yarden” plants will suffer in the freeze. ~~ Two Aleve Saturday is a current picture of my former garden.
8:08 AM: According to Houston TV meteorologist’ “feels like” temperature is twenty-eight degrees.
“Fire and ice” came to mind as the title for a blog message. The NBC-Today program was preempted by local news addressing our snowy, icy traffic conditions. Preempted… so I didn’t see recent reports of fires raging in Southern California (my long-time home).

My December electric bill, what will it look like? The weather is so cold; my propane furnace doesn’t work. Gratefully, I have the benefit of a “heat strip” with the air-conditioner, and a space heater. My feet feel like icicles!!

According to President Franklin Roosevelt, December 7, 1941, is “a date which will live in infamy….”
Thursday, December 7, 2017 will be a date I won’t soon forget. At 1:15 PM a man was knocking on my door and served me with an Eviction Citation. Though this action was expected, it was (is) a shock to actually experience!! As I type this I am trembling like a leaf. I request your prayers during this extremely stressful period of my life.
“Laughter is the best medicine”?! The kind, thoughtful, considerate gentleman told me he intentionally wore casual clothes and arrived in an unmarked car. He didn’t want to embarrass me.
