“Rememory”

Coined a word: Memory remembered.

I’m so grateful for my memory; I pray it never fades. Middle of the night, wide awake, I vividly recalled an incident from seventy-four or seventy-five years ago. (Why did that come to mind?)

I was on the horse of a classmate. I knew nothing about horses or riding a horse. It rared up and I was clinging to the reinsnot the saddle horn. I fell offclinging to the reinsand the horse fell on top of me. The saddle horn hit me on the hip bone. I was told I would have died if the saddle horn hit me in the chest or stomach.

I’m so grateful to be alive!!

Customer complaint; Lively Jitterbug failed this Senior

After my new cell phone was activated with my phone number, I called Lively Customer Service to make certain my account was canceled (so I wouldn’t continue to receive a monthly statement). I was on “hold” for twenty-five minutes before a young lady came on the line to help me. I explained I wanted assurance my account was canceled and I politely gave her the details of my complaint. I expressed my disappointment that “Customer Service” never acknowledged my message of February 9th.

So much to learn !!

Names and phone numbers were manually entered into my new cell phone. I thought it would be less complicated if the phone number only was transferredwithout the contacts (phone list). So much to learn, my brain is spinning.

If I could, I would…

…have the Hallelujah chorus  playing as you read this message.

It has been a “hallelujah” morning!! A neighbor lady offered to look at my Motorola and see if she could teach me a few things about my new “smart” phone. I was amazed at her skill in finding features and setting things up for me. At first, there was no service but, gratefully, the service happened (“happened” because of the transfer from Jitterbug to Google phone service).

Honestly, even with “dumb luck,” I would never have figured out mysterious features! Now I need to enter the name and numbers of my contacts. I’d like to believe that the reader will never see another complaint about “battery not holding a charge,” etc., etc. Never again will “Mr. Red” have to come knocking on my door to check on me because he couldn’t get me on the phone.

My neighbor lady and I went to lunch at Panera. That’s my very favorite establishmentand such a treat. Let me repeat that it was a “hallelujah” morningand noon.

“Smart” phones & “dumb” senior !!

Yesterday, I believed I’d made some headway (and maybe I did?) but I don’t have the luxurythis morningof making a call on the new Motorola phone. Instructions said it might take twenty-four hours to transfer the number. Perhaps, by this time tomorrow, I can announce success? ~~ The Jitterbug phone is advertised as “simple” for Seniors. This new Motorola has me confused with all the features! ~~ Here is an amusing recent experience. When I said “call Mr. Red,” a screen popped up ready to take me to the TV program “Mister Ed.”  🙂
