Yawn now ?!

Someone you know (“the old lady”) avoids making mention of the monster that drastically changed our lives. When I stopped publishing cartoons, a friend sent several… and here is one.

Fry-day ?

The early morning local TV weatherman said we might break the record today. A high of 93 predicted for this Friday. YES, as you can see, my indoor-outdoor thermometer documented the blistering heat. NO, I wasn’t outdoors; I was “documenting” family members in the Myrtle Traxler Family Tree.

Thursday Topic Turnaround

Are you tired of Maxine cartoons? Did the jokes put a smile on your face? Isn’t it time for a change-of-pace?

“The old lady”  loves to take trips down memory lane. Here is a link to my activity on 23 Apr 2013.

Rain on our Rally. Flip the calendar pages back one year and here is a link for 2012.

In that same time-frame: You have questions, I have answers.

Here’s a link to T@B Teardrop Trailer Travels with details of my travels in 2010.

As I publish… it is too early to phone my friends in Livingston to see if the tornado affected residents at Escapees Rainbow’s End RV Park. The local Waco TV news shows the damage and reports several deaths. ~~~~ Now at 7:05 AM, I see details on NBC Today show.

T-day

“The old lady”  did not plan for all those T’s: Thursday, Today, T@B Teardrop Trailer Travels, topic turnaround, tornado.

Taking time to tell those tuned to

Terrible Traxler tragedy

More T’s.

Yesterday, I struggled to document the details in the Myrtle Traxler Family Tree. (The “tree” I acquired last month.) Endless hours have been spent adding sources from Ancestry’s endless valuable information. I discovered the gruesome details of the murder of the mother of three Traxler cousins (second-cousins-two-time-removed). I think Ancestry allows free “guest” access… so I attach this link so you can read the details. I’m not content to mindlessly add sources to names; I get “involved” in the lives of the individuals as I document them. I was broken-hearted for those children. I wonder how the terrible tragedy affected their lives–and the lives of their children.

Good guys and bad guys in my tree.

Terrific task ?

It took hours for “the old lady” to get the “chandeliers” spaced accurately and bottles inserted. First, the display was the old fashioned way(Livingston way). Then the inspiration to display them “the new Waco way.” It took a lot of time because “the old lady” is persnickety!! Gratefully, hours of sunshine and much-needed exercise.

Subject to change, of course, but a start toward yard beautification. Shame on Lorraine for saying that because the yard is already “beautiful.” Look at the beautiful roses blooming in my yard.

It took about two hours to prepare this blog message because “the old lady” is persnickety!

Better than Maxine !!

Another day spent “on the computer.” There was an exchange of email messages before I received the following video. I’m eager to share it with my followers. Quite honestly, this is the first time I’ve added a video to my blog so I hope it plays for you. (Thanks Leland.)  This is 200% better than Maxine cartoons.

Frustrating ?!

Too many people add information to their family tree without a source. IMHO, they are pulling information “out of thin air.” Personally, I “search” for sources if there are no “hints.” I reject sources that are inconsistent with known information. “Hey, stop forcing a piece that doesn’t fit.”

Two PM “comment”

Moments ago I received a request to purchase my book titled Frantz Families–Kith & Kin. The request was in response to a blog message published on October 12th, 2017:  Suggestions for free genealogy research. I “comment” (here) on Vickie’s “comment” because I marvel at the length and breadth of my outreach. Believe it or not, that request gave me a boost of energy. I’d like to think that my devotion to genealogy has a measure of value.

Do you like my “enhanced” clip-art?
