Tuesday talking points

Break time?! I’m tired of being tired; I’m tired of being depressed. I forced myself outdoors to tackle projects. Dripping wet with sweat, I came indoors for an “energy drink” break.
.
My camera and I are headed outdoors again to work with things near, and inside, the cargo trailer. The TV meteorologist’ are predicting heavy rain by Sunday Father’s Day. Unfortunately, previously, I neglected things on the table and some are ruined.
.
.
Time to retreat to my air-conditioned trailer home.
.
.

Have I previously mentioned that I have attempted to hire a strong healthy handyman? I’ve been rejected; my money isn’t any good?
Praise God, a strong healthy young man phoned me (out of the blue) and he will be available in July. I’ll save some of my projects for him. (He did projects for me while I was living at the CARE Center.)

Six-plus days and counting my blessings !!
.
A week ago, I was planning to care for Gabriella and her nine pups while the owner flew to Virginia for a job interview. Details are published on this blog. Today’s message is dedicated to gratefulness tor reasonably good health and no major problem associated with the dog bite.

days and counting!!

A sermon by Dr. Edwin Young: How Not to Comfort.
“Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances.”
Joel Osteen. Lakewood Church:
#730, Room Enough
Are you discouraged today because you’re facing a difficult battle? We all have things that come against us in life and encounter unfair people and situations. But just because you have opposition doesn’t mean you’re not in God’s will. God is in control, and He’s directing your steps. What’s meant for your harm, God is going to use to your advantage. Joel will show you how to stay encouraged and gain a fresh perspective of trials. Setbacks are setups in our lives for God to do something greater. With God on your side, you can rest assured that when adversity arises, a new level is on the way.

Super Hummingbirds (awesome video)
PBS Nature program about Super Hummingbirds.
I stumbled on this program while “channel surfing.” My entire day spent in front of the television set. I love Hummingbirds!!

Remarkable ?!
Here’s a link to weather news far superior to any weather news I publish.
Is’s so fascinating, I’ve watched several times!
Comparison
The “owner” thought the plant was a Magnolia. However, when the Gardenia bushes bloomed in my yard, matching leaves led us to believe a Gardenia plant. ~~ No “in the beginning” picture of “Maggie” when she arrived but a very pathetic-looking plant. I’ve transplanted… to a larger planter and fed her nutrients. ~~ I’m a better “plant sitter” than “dog sitter”?!
“Malaise” times two !!
Did you see Malaise? I usually work on a blog message each day and my most recent thoughts are “ditto.” If it weren’t so HOT I’d go into Livingston and browse the thrift shops and Lowe’s mark-down plants. However, too hot and humid.
Praying for rain !!

Hard to believe but NOT to cool the atmosphere in our locality. I want a hard rain to saturate the soil and wash away the “dog odor.” Ten dogs in my yard for about five hours left an indelible impression!! True story: I’ve hosed the patio, ramp (to my door), driveway and yard close to my trailer home. The odor lingers!!
I hasten to say: I am very sensitive to odors. The odor of ozone almost killed me in 2009. The odor of moth balls (*) made me deathly sick in 2013. I have an uncanny sense of smell–perhaps due to my effort to live a healthy lifestyle.
Who would imagine that a dog bite would be “a blessing in disguise” ? With 20/20 hindsight, I can only speculate about the horrific odor over the period of one week. Honestly, I hadn’t considered “that” when I offered to care for Gabriella and her nine pups.
