“Your prices are too high.” I confessed I knew some prices were high but in a few days–or a week–I’ll line through the old price (with a red pen) and drop the price. Some items have a ridiculously high price because it is something I don’t really want to sell. **IF** “they” want it at the ridiculously high price, it’s theirs. Farewell, bye-bye. Trivia: Before the sale started, I counted one-hundred-seventy-five items with price tags. Here I am–several days later–and there are many items I still need to price. (I need to check the Internet [e-Bay] for an approximate value.) ~~ “Little old lady” moves slowly!!

(“Little old lady”  is awake half the night. Melatonin only provides about two hours sleep and then you-know-who  is wide awake with thoughts regarding projects.)

To my surprise, a plant was alive and looking good. Quite by accident, I saw it back in the wooded area where planters had been dumped.  I quickly took a planter from the yard sale, went to my supply of planter soil, and “voila”  a new start for a plant I cannot name.

The new pump was purchased at Lowe’s several weeks ago. This morning–while waiting for customers–I installed the new pump. I love the soothing sound of the running water; relaxing. Visitors love the fountain, too, but I’m quick to say “It’s not for sale.”

Coffee break time!! There have been MANY visitors, and a few sales. I’m content with an occasional visitor/customer.

Early… I blew away pollen and leaves. ~~ All morning, cloudy, and windy!!

Very enjoyable morning visiting with friends and neighbors. More than $100.00 in sales!! So busy, lunch was postponed.

IMHO, the doorbell chime paid for itself the first day!! I was able to go indoors to prepare coffee–or lunch–and be alerted to a visitor.

Afternoon: No sales; several visitors, time sitting in yard chairs, involved in conversation. 

Seventy-seven dollars for perishable groceries–and no meat. I’m set for next week because I expect to be home every day, all day. ~~ “Image“ is important?! I don’t want yard sale customers to judge me–or my merchandise– by my dirty car. Therefore: The KIA got a $14.00 bath. Early tomorrow morning, I’ll blow tree pollen off the items in the carport. Ready, set, “show.”

Because it takes me “twice as long” on each project (?!), I believed a good idea to attach sign today. Reinforcement here, lots of twine there, adjust and re-adjust. I was still working on the sign when the first interested individual arrived. Three “lookers” in rapid succession. I’m not opposed to customers today but I’d rather “stick to the plan.” ~~ The wind is whipping the sign and I’m afraid the heavy twine will break or pull out of Duck tape reinforced holes. Before the week is out, more time and energy devoted to the sign?!

Preparing for the “yard” yard sale next week.

OMG, where did the morning go?? Completely lost track of time!!  ~~ Failed to repair a portion of the Channel Master TV antenna. Gorilla glue usually works well for me. ~~ Marked a lot more items…; visited with a neighbor.

Time to go back to work?!

Where did the day go? ~~ I can document that most of the items are “priced” and I’m “almost” ready for the yard sale. ~~ Neighbors caution the weather may “put a damper” on my sale. ~~ Cereal for supper!!

The “heat strip” (that works in conjunction with the air-conditioner) was NOT warming my trailer home!! “Cooking”–on kitchen stove–was my perceived solution. What could be better than potato soup??

It’s a temptation to devour the soup today (and tomorrow). However, on-the-practical-side, next week (during the yard sale), a quick tasty meal will be especially valuable. Trust me: That potato soup is scrumptious!! 

Lazy Lorraine?! She spent the entire day indoors–in nightgown and warm robe–“weather watching,” dish washing, cooking, blogging….
