… and a dollar short!!

Yesterday, I stayed home; I had no desire to “mix and mingle” (as mentioned on an earlier blog: Sick Old Senior). The cold didn’t last long but pain in my neck and shoulders has brought me to a standstill. I’ve spent hours in bed or in the easy chair in front of the TV. Too much weed pulling? Despite natural pain remedies, my neck and shoulders have been burning with pain. But this, too, shall pass!!

Today, I joined the other residents for lunch in the CARE dining room. One dear resident/neighbor made the birthday cake–and it is delicious!! I’m being selfish; I’m keeping the entire cake for my pleasure. (I seldom eat desserts but will enjoy every crumb of this carrot cake.)
