Tenacious, obsessive, relentless… and weird? This was the third day devoted to individuals associated with my third cousin, Florence Etta Frantz. Ancestry has billions of records; we need to search for information.

Old lady Lorraine is “sticking her neck out.” A new slogan by FOX NEWS is “America is watching.” As many of my readers know, I watch FOX NEWS exclusively—every day, all day (listening, while “climbing the family tree”). One of my absolute favorites is Tucker Carlson. Yesterday, he was fired. A few days earlier, another program host was fired. Dan Bongino’s program was titled “Unfiltered” and he wasn’t afraid to talk about sensitive subjects. But I digressed… because my heartache is the loss of Tucker Carlson. ~~ As a “conservative,” I admire the people who speak out about America’s horrible state of affairs. “No more free speech?” ~~ On top of my sadness regarding those two men being fired for their statements, the TV news tells me that our incompetent President announced he is running again.

Lost my mind?? Two days, endless hours, researching cousins and their families. Thank goodness this branch of the tree is unusual. Most of my ancestors (families) had one marriage. Imagine, if you will, trying to locate information when there have been multiple marriages. There were a total of fifteen marriages. It’s four PM and I’ll finally make time for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Like a magnet, “old lady Lorraine” is drawn back to Ancestry.com. Yesterday, hours were devoted to the location, and documentation, of accurate information for a woman totally unrelated to me. “Detective Lorraine” feels compelled to document accurate data when Ancestry Member Trees  (members) have repeatedly copied obviously incorrect information. In most cases, I’ll never know whether I influenced Ancestry members. ~~ Oh boy, oh joy!! Ancestry advised me of a comment with an individual I previously researched.  I’m ecstatically happy!

Florence Frantz is my genealogy project for this Sunday—while listening to Christ-centered Sunday morning Church messages. Below is an image from yesterday’s research. Catherine Harris was always listed as Catharine Nonnemaker. Two women named “Catherine” married men with the Markley surname.

The obituary I never expected to read, and document. Dr. Charles Stanley passed away several days ago. His ministry will continue; I’ll still watch him on TV church.

Skydivers over sixty…

Holding my breath!!  Saying a prayer!! I was reliving the moments prior to the launch of the Challenger. I was a secretary, at NASA, at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Gratefully, no loss of life with this SpaceX launch.

My “old” sprinklers had metal fittings. They fused to the end of the garden hose. The sprinklers were destroyed to remove them…  This time I’ll use “quick-connect” and should be able to shuffle between hand sprinkler and oscillating sprinkler. ~~ “Twice in a while” I accomplish maintenance tasks.

Unusual experience: Texas Driver’s License. My card expired a few weeks ago—on my birthday. I’m “too old” for automatic renewal. We must have an appointment… and this appointment was weeks after I requested it. I was scheduled for 12:20 PM and was seen at 1:30. Gratefully, I was in my car—taking a sigh of relief—at 2:10.  Conservatively, there were fifty or sixty people in the lobby. Observation: “White” is the minority.

Because I was near Walmart, I shopped and it totaled $130.32. Very few groceries, lots of clearance items. Nothing extravagant, nothing expensive. Walmart (cheap) ice cream was my only luxury.
