Affirmative !!

Aluminum cans first thing in the morningfor pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House. Dark clouds, and gloomy, with the threat of rain so I moved to the carport. Next, I dusted books and videos and placed them in separate boxes. One box with Bibles, books, etc., for Love Packages. Secular books, and videos, in a box for the local library (for fund-raising book sale). In another area, there are items that will (eventually) go to the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. ~~ Thunderand rainat ten-fifteen. ~~ Now some “indoor” projects which include this blog message and a second mug of coffee. ~~ I can do it. (I keep telling myself “You can do it.”)

Postscript at 12:20 PM. “Severe weather”  according to the noon news.

Moderation ?

“The old lady”  doesn’t know how to approach projects “with moderation.” The outdoor activities have drained already limited strength and energy. NOT COMPLAINING!! This is the journal and this is the comment for Wednesday afternoon. Confession: “The old lady”  would love to rush full speed to research and documentation in Ancestry.com.  “Downsizing” MUST be the priority.

Wednesday morning…

Time to save the pop tops for Ronald McDonald House.

There are several more boxes of poems. At one time, I planned to add the poems to a website, indexed by topic. I love poems of faith but haven’t the time (or energy) for everything on my “to do” list. Now, time and energy must go into downsizing!! These… and more with go to the local library for their fund-raising book sale.

Tuesday tidings

However, in a very vivid dream, I was documenting LOTS of information about James Richard Tiner. There were valuable sources for the man–and his wife. I awakened at 2:00 AM and confess to the strong temptation to go to Ancestry.com, to the family tree of my friend, “Mr. Red,” and see if my dream provided useful details. However, with willpower, I am ignoring Ancestry because dozens of projects demand my time and attention!!

“Mental focus”

Mental focus  is the title of a message by Dr. David Jeremiah (pastor of Shadow Mountain Church in San Diego, California). I planned to title this blog message “Mental illness and Naomi Judd.”  My planned first line was “mental illness and Lorraine Edwards.”  ~~ Eight, ten, twelve, fourteen hours a day on Ancestry.com (climbing the family tree) is obviously “mental illness.” I have neglected my health, appearance, home, yard, and car. ~~ By the grace of God, my Heavenly Father, for two days, I have NOT approached Ancestry.com. By the grace of God, my Heavenly Father, today I will apply time and energy (and “mental focus”) on downsizing projects.
