Change of mind

Friends have been “in touch” during the recent twenty-four hours. They are so supportive and express confidence that I “can do it.”  Now I look forward to “a new adventure.”  Please keep me in your prayers and positive thoughts.

Terrified !!

The cardiologist doctor’s offices are “clear across town.” Waco traffic is a nightmare and I am terrified to drive beyond my comfort zone (see map). “They” have me scheduled for an appointment on Tuesday morning and I am terrified at the prospect of that trip. True story: You could not pay me to drive on Interstate 35!! “The 340 Loop”  has heavy traffic because drivers want to avoid I35. I’m requesting your prayers and thinkingofyouthoughts.

Good news & bad news

A “good” visit with my doctor yesterday. She is very compassionate and the kindest doctor I’ve ever had (not that I’ve had many doctors during my lifetime). The “bad news” is the A-Fib has returned and I’m in much discomfort (truthfully pain). She made a referral to a cardiologist. SINCERE THANKS to friends for their phone call to check on me because they missed my usually daily blog message. SINCERE THANKS to my dear friend, Deb, for the boxes of food after I commented on the unappealing meals from Meals On Wheels. SINCERE THANKS to “Mr. Red” for Pecan Praline ice cream and fresh fruit.

Bad night !!

“Good morning”  to my blog friends. I spent the entire night in my comfortable chair/glider and it ceased to be comfortable about midnight. The little insects are still crawling around in my bed. I see them, I kill them. “They” do not “trail” so I can’t see where they are coming from.

Exercise in futility ??

Awake at two in the morning because the teenietiny little insects were crawling on me. OMG, what’s the old lady supposed to do? Each one was instantly plucked from whatever part of my body and squeezed to death between my fingers. Yet another night where my sleep was rudely interrupted. ~~ I don’t eat in bed so food crumbs can’t be the attraction.  This old lady is getting increasingly cantankerous so the insects aren’t attracted because I’m so sweet (LOL). ~~ Three loads of laundry yesterday plus a shower, washing my hair, and clean pajamas. All those events were an “exercise in futility”?  ~~ A friend suggested I get a “bug bomb” (or two) and set one off in my trailer home. I’d have to leave home for several hours and, according to her, a big cleanup job afterward. ~~ EXCUSE ME!! A “BUG BOMB” IS NOT ON MY “TODO “LIST. ~~

Counting my blessings!! A resident neighbor had a stroke last week and he is in the hospital and not doing well. I’m so grateful that my a-fib was diagnosed before it caused me to have a stroke.

POSTSCRIPT @ 11:10 AM: I ought to be thankful for Meals on Wheels but the food items are things I rarely or never eat.

“Ty” and me

The weather is slightly cooler, praise the Lord!! Lorraine is feeling better, praise the Lord!! Reinforced with Tylenol, a project was tackled: Strip the bed and wash the bedding in hot water, and dry in a hot dryer.

The little insects are still distracting from my already limited good night’s sleep. My “comfortable chair” isn’t very comfortable after several hours. Hopefully, clean bedding will resolve the problem?

Postscript @ two o’clock: Extra precaution thanks to lady-friend, Deb. She ordered… and had it mailed to me. This is for “sugar ants” but may attract the teenietiny insects?! This is positioned in the corner, on the left side, at the front of the bed.
