Dream Catcher !!

A simple reminder: The “dream catcher” given to me by a friend (several years ago).

That object prompts me to pursue the dream of offering some of my compiled (scanned) family history to another researcher. Robert Schuller often said Inch by inch it’s a cinch.”  I’ll keep inching along!!

Salvaging my sanity !!

Almost all morning spent working on my tiny piece of rented real estate. By keeping my hands busy, I wasn’t scratching my scalp.

So few CARE residents are doing anything with their yard. I couldn’t give away planters, “pebbles for [bottom of] planters,” fencing, etc. One lady (in adjacent RV Park) will received these planters because she prepares clippings, and seedlings, and donates to our Thrift ‘n Gift shop.

Website frustration !!

When I prepared the Frantz Families–Kith & Kin website, I did not have that black box on the left side of the screen. (Simpler instructions, I’m sure.) For a guru, those black box instructions may be easy to navigate. For some mysterious reason, I cannot perform their dictated maneuvers on my “under construction” new website!! I suspect the “electronic age” is miles ahead of me. (As I indicated recently, I’m happy with Windows 7 and a “dumb” Jitterbug flip phone.) Even **this** blog site creation process has changed since I started it in December 2011. Gratefully, I’m still able to work with instructions I comprehend. I’m (likewise) experiencing  “construction” problems **there** because I “thought” I’d be working with commands I understand. (I hoped changing to another provider would simplify the process!!)

Can’t get there from here ??

My eyes are popping out of their sockets. I’ve done Internet searches; I’ve read so many articles!! I’m trying to learn how to move the scanned documents to the website; I’m aiming at a target. I’m not planning to do any more scanning until I have an answer. (Oops, too many perpendicular pronouns!!)

Big problem ?!

Counting my blessings!! Compared to another RVer, my problems are small.

I had one major accident in 2003 but, otherwise, traveled safely for decades. I apologize if my earlier message(s) sounded like I was complaining. I’m grateful my problems are considerably smaller!!

.

Preliminary inspection: Destroyed tire the only damage.

Serious weather !!

National television programming has been preempted. Houston TV meteorologist’ warning the extended viewing area of tornadoes and serious thunder storms. “Hail” is an oft-mentioned danger. This morning, I’ve experienced sporadic heavy rain.

& & & & & &

Perhaps the storm has left our area? Programming back on schedule. Honestly, I went back to bed (and covered my head)!! Projects–and computer–were begging for attention but I’m sick of “projects.” My head aches because full of questions; my stomach hurts because it is tied in knots due to stress!!

& & & & & &

SUNSHINE!! Little to no damage here (to my knowledge); less than one inch of rain in my gauge.

No foolin’

Today, I probably “threw away” $200.00. For a week, I’ve been using a trial of Adobe Acrobat. Time was up, so I signed up….

During the week, I explored every possibility for the features I desire (for my major scanning project). I didn’t find what I wanted but believed I’d have success with the “paid for” product and one year subscription. NOPE!!! The entire morning was wasted (no foolin’) attempting to compose my envisioned folders and portfolio. NOPE, NOPE, NOPE!!
