Maybe yes, maybe no!! I have been chilled to the bone, and deliberately have the furnace set high. I even went back to bed in an effort to get warm!! ~~ Oh, the joy of a telephoto lens: From the comfort of my home, I took the picture of volunteers across the field–without coats or sweaters.

The weather interfered with TV reception so I couldn’t watch Christian programs. Remember, I have a through-the-air antenna. Television viewing isn’t important enough (to me) to pay $30.00 to $150.00 per month (as most CARE residents do). I choose to spend the money on my “yarden.”

You won’t find me driving all over the county pursuing yard sales!! However, I’m eager to attend a sale in the Escapees Rainbows End RV Park community. Here is my “treasure” for today; I love it!!

Knowing I’d be near…, I took my camera. To my surprise, in their yard, the “bottle fence” I’ve planned to photograph. I’m considering a “bottle fence” between the trees in my yard. (Seriously.)

We experienced the coldest night since way back last Spring. Burr!! It will be cold all day and another cold night is predicted. Perhaps not too long until I cover the large plants/planters against freezing temperatures?!

Now I have another “favorite.”

“Yours truly” is in great agony as she types this!! Because this picture was my focus, the ant hill escaped my attention. OMG!! Dozens (hundreds?) in my shoes and socks, and up my pant legs!! I started brushing them off and they were on my hands. I couldn’t get out of my shoes, socks and pants quick enough!! The itch of those bites will be with me for several days!!

Square bottles in a square basket joined the “bottle garden.” ~~ I know I said the subject was closed for the time being but I’m obsessive-compulsive right now about bottles. PBPGIFWMY

To my surprise, I recently spent $108.23, plus tax.

Postscript, Saturday, November 19, 2016: From Dollar Tree*, twenty-four bottles of Martinelli’s Sparking Cider. Well, actually, twenty-one cider, one Sparking Red Grape, and two Sparking White Grape, THIS is a beverage more to my liking!! And the small bottles are nice for sharing. “Indian giver?” Yes, I give… but I want the green bottles returned!!

*I periodically check Dollar Tree for more red vases–for the eventual Christmas Bottle Tree. While shopping, I saw, and purchased, the gift item for our CARE Christmas gift exchange.

“Bottle mania” is an illness infecting a very small percentage of the population. I **thought** I was free of the symptoms but they caught up with me again today. The only way to control the mania: Shop every grocery aisle looking for food (or drink) in colored glass bottles. Truth be told: The Sprite is the only item I’ll consume. ~~ For many years, I earned a living as a “proof reader.” With that background, mistakes jump off the page at me!! The minute I opened that pretty green bottle, I saw what I perceived to be an error. However, with closer examination, I see the Sprite was bottled in Mexico. OMG!! Coca Cola bottling in Mexico? Cars, clothing, electronics, etc., etc., all manufactured overseas (or across the border). It is my prayer that President Trump brings jobs back to the United States of America!!

By necessity, I was in Livingston to have the KIA inspected before paying my annual vehicle renewal fee. Waiting, waiting, waiting…. Today’s only redeeming factor: A brief stop at the Habitat for Humanity thrift shop. Sadly, I never find colored bottles in thrift shops and very few colored vases. ~~ The new (used) bottles are sparking clean and the labels removed.

It’s difficult being “square” in a round world!!

The wine bottles were not counted. I just want the reader to know the subject is closed (for the time being). Later, I’ll prepare a Christmas “bottle tree” for display in the neighbor’s yard.

Now my (limited) energy will be spent on mulching leaves and getting plants ready for Fall and Winter.

The least favorite thing in my garden: Weeds!!

Today, I removed the wire “spiky” things that supported my “bottle weeds.” Hey, it was a novel idea but **not** my most creative project!! Now I’m adding green bottles to planters to simulate plant growth. More attractive (imho)?!

The morning was filled with the mundane task of doing laundry. Honestly, it is very difficult for me to “tear myself away from the garden” for dirty clothes!! Our weather has been absolutely wonderful; I love every minute outdoors.

Early afternoon postscript: OMG, eighteen more empty beer bottles!! Roger must be enjoying the free beer?? Previously, I teased him about “one a day” but my tease must have fallen on deaf ears. Honestly, I don’t plan to buy any more “bottles” because I have an abundant supply!!
