This old lady (almost eighty-eight) is so grateful for a reasonably good memory. This morning while “climbing the family tree,” I came across the name “Snavely” (and it isn’t one of the tried and true names in my database). I said to myself “I know that name” and I proceeded to document the sources. “I know that name” from thirty–three years ago when I documented (and published) the LaVerne Evergreen Cemetery in LaVerne, Los Angeles County, California. Isn’t that amazing? Even more amazing because more than three-thousand individuals are buried there. That was my introduction to the surnames of the Church of the Brethren and Old German Baptist Brethren families. My Frantz grandparents are buried there.
