Tremendous Tuesday ?

.

Check back; more to tell on a tremendous Tuesday. (Hey, I get things done when “hot is not.”)

For many months, the “tired” (and sick) old lady ignored the clutter.

“Time” at the computer.

.

The afternoon email brought some more “trash talk” similar to those I identified a couple of days ago. I was forced to spend “tree time” addressing more than a dozen complaints. I was kind, thoughtful, considerate…

Mixed message (ha)

Texas has desperately needed rain. In less than one hour, almost four inches of rain!! “Deluge”  is a good name for it!! This is a “mixed” message because (1) “rain” on Saturday night, (2) blog prepared on Sunday and scheduled for Monday, and (3) “three-in-one” garden news. The Jasmine plant is showing promise of growth after no growth last year. The black plastic is there in hopes it will smother the clumps of grass that I’m unable to dig out. Rain gauge in the lower-left corner… There (you see) is the vivid evidence that Lorraine occasionally gets off her derriere and ventures beyond the computer keyboard.

Weird morning ?!

I awakened from a dream about aluminum cans. There had been a large social gathering for a picnic. I told the host to save the Pepsi cans. I was madder than a wet hen when I discovered he didn’t save all aluminum cansonly “Pepsi.” (Be careful what I say?)

Many comments greeted me when I checked my email messages. “Complaints” from a woman “mad as a wet hen” with my documentation of her family. I’m not shy about drawing attention to obvious documentation errors and the woman wanted the observation deleted.

.

POSTSCRIPT: Hindsight, an afterthought, etc, etc., at twelve noon. (There isn’t anything wrong with my memory; my “recall” is slow.) Rita–the complainerhas my email address and could have written directly to me and not attach eight complaints to individuals in my tree. Rita has a “private” tree and does not share her information. Lorraine has a “public” tree (71,816 individuals) and gladly shares her thirty-five years of research. Read an earlier narrative.

Climbing the family tree

“Family” is very important to me!! As soon as I saw the obituary in my email box (about 3:15 PM), I “copied”… and went to my family tree. “Flory” is a “well-rooted” tree and a well-documented family. Carol is my fourth-cousin-one-time-removed.

Comment: See all those green spots attached to individuals (on the ancestor chart)? That indicates there are “hints” to new information. Perhaps before the end of the day, I will document the hints… and (perhaps) extend the family another generation or two.

“Fixer duffer” ?

Yesterday, I had the extreme pleasure of an actual tour of a Chip and Joanna Gains “Fixer upper.”  The house is extremely gorgeousbeyond something we see on film.

I wish there was a way to fix “this old duffer.”  I’d like to “wax eloquent” about yesterday’s adventure but too tired to type.

Postscript @ 6:30 PM: The TV news is so depressing!! I have watched a lot of “Fixer upper”  programs on the Magnolia Network. One depressing feature regarding those images: My home is so unattractive (and oh so cluttered).

Postscript @ 7:00 PM: My neighbor just brought me a “just out of the oven” stuffed bell pepper. Yum yum, good.  🙂
