During my sleep–deprived night, I put myself in the place of those old Ukrainian women forced to leave their homes. What would I do? When faced with an emergency, what would I grab to take with me? I don’t have “cold weather” boots—or “walking shoes.” In my imagination, I think about starting to walk from Waco to the Oklahoma state line, or Arkansas or Louisiana (more than 200 miles?). What would you do? Should we be planning for our future?
