Three hours in the yard !!

No sunshine, but pleasant; the jacket was quickly abandoned. After days indoors, I desperately needed the fresh air, and exercise. First project: Plant food for all the plants. Second: Unintended, I dug up four volunteer Mexican Petunia. I’ll offer the others “free” if a yard sale customer wants to dig them up.  ~~ Another “cold front” arriving later today and will last for several days. In fact, we may have a “light freeze” next week. I’ll definitely “cover” the plants. ~~ I’m ravishing hungry!! If I weren’t so tired, I’d drive into Livingston for some “comfort food.” LOL!!

Escapees CARE tried and true ?!

Several years ago, I prepared planters for a neighbor-lady-friend. The display was on the main street (CARE Center Drive) and my lady-friend received lots of compliments. I watered, pruned, fertilized, etc., etc. My friend is now in a convalescent home and her family requested Escapees CARE return the planters to me. The CARE Center returned the planters WITHOUT PLANTS and soil. Just as you see them in the picture. In my humble opinion, the tender loving care I demonstrated was blatantly ignored. It has been fourteen months since I was evicted from Escapees CARE Center. ~~ Please read my blog message Planter project for neighbor and Planter project for neighbor (revisited).

Colossal faux pas ?!

Decided to make the sixteen mile round trip into Livingston. I wanted to do something different so decided to go to Dickey’s BBQ. I rarely eat meat but “I wanted to do something different.” Dickey’s was closed. I went next door and looked at Schlotzskys menu and didn’t see anything tempting. I decided I’d try the “cheesy bacon fries” at McDonald’s. (I HATE McDONALD’S but the fries are a current popular advertisement on TV.) I ordered a fish filet sandwich with the fries. Both items were horrible (in my humble opinion)!! I was hungry but that food was so bad I threw the $8.47 meal in the trash and walked out!! Repeat: I HATE McDONALD’S.

I drove a short distance to a grocery store and purchased items totaling $64.75. All healthy stuff!!

Home again!! Good food!! (Abused planters!!!!) Listening to uplifting spiritual message by Charles Stanley, First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia.  More good messages to follow on Christian TV.

For the record…

Only the privilege of taking pictures of the Azalea blooms would prompt me to get dressed and venture into the damp, cold, morning. (Three days in my pajamas and robe.) Forty-seven degrees at ten AM.

Flagpole story

Remember when I published a blog message titled Dog in the manger?               I anticipate their inability to hang the flag is my fault.  😦

Landlady’s step-son runs around in his pajamas.. The young woman is paid by State or County to help with chores.
