Anxiety was my companion most of the day. I knew I would go to the CARE Center for a Memorial Service but dreaded the experience. Fourteen-&-one-half months since I was evicted.  My “dread” was less than my willingness to be “there” for a lady-friend, the widow. ~~~ I immersed myself in Ancestry all day, trying to blot out the intended appointment. Gratefully, kind thoughtful friends greeted me; antagonist’ avoided me. A beautiful service for a friendly, generous old gentleman.

Beautiful sunshine but very cold wind. I planned to work in the yard, or on the patio, but did an “about-face”  seconds after walking outdoors. But I’m working “indirectly” because I’m preparing the signs for the yard sale items.

Multi-tasking: I need a “weighted base” for sign so emptied almost empty soap container. Another load of laundry, and washed a lot more dirty bottles and vases. (Think smart?!)

One example of stupidity is illustrated below. The second is the old lady behind this blog message. “Old lady” didn’t go to bed until 2:30 AM (today). Slept like a rock until 8:40 and feeling refreshed. A cousin shares my frustration… and recently wrote “There are two kinds of people: Lazy, and Stupid.”  “Stupid” is the “old lady” working with a gnarly situation and could not walk away. “Lazy” is the Ancestry Member who does not double-check his/her information. “Stupid old lady” feels ordained to locate, and correct, errors in Ancestry family trees. Today, I’m paying the price for staying up late. I’m extremely tired, and my eyes are burning. My computer experience is limited to preparing the pictures for these two messages, and preparation of these two blog messages. Planning to drive into Livingston for groceries, etc., etc., I took a shower and washed my hair. But “too tired” to drive… so a “picture project” instead. Why, a “picture project”? Time to confess it has been months since I had a hair cut–and I despise my long hair!! Ancestry has had a grip on my life; the weather has been disagreeable; the landlady/neighbor has me stressed/depressed. I rarely leave home. Thus, the tripod/camera “picture project” to document the appearance of a sleep-deprived eighty-four years “old lady.”

Due to the move (perhaps), I did not receive my 1099R from Los Angeles County. Because I wasn’t going into Ancestry today, I mustered enough energy to call Los Angeles. While “waiting” for a real live person to talk to, I listened to their comprehensive messages. I could accomplish my goal by going to their website. Ten minutes later, and no “customer service,” I hung up and went to the website. It was extremely simple, and I can now prepare my income tax for this year. I’ve been “stressed” because April 15th is “just around the corner.”  OMG, taxes, yard sale, and long straight hair.

Due to the move (specifically), I don’t have access to the wonderful barber-stylist who sets up shop at the CARE Center on Thursday mornings. It was so convenient… and he had a knack with my fine hair and cowlicks. Went to Walmart Salon one time and two hour wait. “No thanks.”

In the old days… it was relatively “cut and dried” to document marriage and children (in Ancestry). I mean “in the old days” 1800’s, 1900’s. Starting with “my generation,” there are multiple marriages, and multiple divorces. It’s a nightmare attempting to document the individuals due to name changes! Furthermore, the children appear with the step-parent in Census records and  Ancestry Member Family Tree individuals include them (copy them) and  trees are “wrong, wrong, wrong.” During the weekend, I spend entire days working with one large family. My thought: “Poor Josiah Frantz (1858-1942) and Lydia (1858-1930).” Well, on second thought I guess they didn’t live long enough to question the guest who arrived at a holiday meal.

I thoughtfully, accurately, document the family because I may never have the privilege of visiting this family again.(“Double” second and third  cousins. What does “double”  mean? In 1852, two Frantz cousins married and had eleven children. Yours truly loss count of the number of grandchildren.)

Another “pet peeve”? I dislike the complication regarding change the time on clocks and camera. I forgot the outdoor thermometer until I looked at these pictures. “Oh, no.” Gratefully, the satellites change time on computers, and indoor/outdoor thermometers. ~~ Yesterday, I almost considered turning on the air-conditioner; today I’m considering the furnace. Furthermore, Houston TV meteorologist’ say we will be “in the forties”  before next weekend. Hopefully, not another freeze. The plants are just recovering from previous freeze. Yes, even though “covered” plants, some leaves turned black.

My spring is broken!! My “body clock” is confused!! I may (or may not) have a milestone to boast about. Today, I moved past the seventeen-thousand mark in my Ancestry family tree. No energy for yard work so I “just sat” at the computer.
