Houston TV meteorologist’ promise we will have pleasant weather for the weekend. It’s 6:30 AM as I type this; I was awake for a couple of hours so forced myself to “get up.” It’s cold indoors but I’m bundled up in warm robe and slippers. ~~ I know the reader gets bored with weather reports, and discussions about genealogy. Not much else of interest in the life of this old lady. Equally boring: (1) I need a new battery in my watch; (2) I’ve misplaced the magnifying glass; (3) my hair is long and shaggy–I need a haircut; (4) etc., etc.

You’re starting to look like the Lorraine I knew! Your hair was almost shoulder length when I met you at SKP East and I think you had an encounter with Miss Clairol, I remembered it as brown.Get off the computer and go to town and take care of yourself!

Walmart usually has the cheapest batteries, but they may not have anyone there to change them. Some backs pop off easily with a knife but are are to get back on. Some use what looks like a tiny spanner wrench and screw off like the cover on a jar.
