Good intentions !!

Went shopping–(1st) Lowe’s and (2nd) groceries. The back of my KIA was full of bags and I intended to take a picture. FORGOT in my hurry to get things unloaded and perishables into the refrigerator. Afternoon projects included spray painting planters (for sale). ~~ Brief stop at a thrift shop to drop off donations and buy a few items. I’m always looking for white “milk glass” vases for my red, white and blue patriotic bottle bush/bottle tree displays. (Some for sale if the price is right.) Trivia: The cobalt blue bottles are Bud Platinum premium expensive beer. I bought… and gave to a friend. He drank… and returned the empties.  ~~ One purchase at Lowe’s: Gorilla glue to mend metal base. Another: Spray paint. I rejected the $20.00 expense of a wood dowel for clothes pole in cargo trailer. I’ll use an old piece of PVC pipe, thank you!!

The garden flag display(s) were created while I lived in North Carolina. I prefer “horizontal” flag display versus forty-five degree angle. But wind and weather rendered this base unusable. Hopefully Gorilla glue will live up to their claim it will secure metal.

Afternoon activities

.

A place for everything, and everything in its place?! I’m continually handling items and making the decision whether to “save” or add to yard sale. Because there are hooks in front of the trailer, appropriate for hanging baskets, I’ll plan to use them. (But not very soon!) “Gardening” can wait but the birds, and squirrels, expect their banquet.

.

Boring, boring, boring !?

is for “James”–and a few words about three “J’s” in my life. Reliable, conscientious, handyman, JIM, moved my trailer home from the CARE Center to current location. On Sunday he surveyed and commented on my cement block walkway project. “Needs work.” ~~ RVing friend, JIMMIE, critiqued my new website and suggested it “needs work.” ~~ Next-door neighbor, JIMMY, has decades-old items cluttering my RV site. “Needs work”  is obvious.

is for “journal.” This blog website is the twenty-first century way I’m keeping track of events in my life. Tracking the weather is habitual (but boring?). Counting my blessings because cold temperature in Southeast Texas is mild compared to miserable conditions in Northeast states. The monster Nor’easter is major news.

Repetition ?!

As previously stated, I am obsessive-compulsive. Here is another “through the window” (from my easy chair) picture. You won’t find that bird feeder in retail stores because it’s the craftsmanship of a woman with imagination. A gift to Lorraine because she (it) is “for the birds” (lol). The seed is rapidly consumed from this feeder so sunshine on empty glass feeder caught my attention.

“Too much time” spent in the easy chair?! I’m feeling guilty for sitting and not “doing.” I sit (briefly) at the computer and look out the window at work needed in the front yard. I can see “yard sale” items that need to be priced–and organized. All around me–in my trailer home–things demanding attention. I’m overwhelmed!! The move from the CARE Center has taken a toll on me emotionally and physically. Friends and neighbors ask me how I’m doing. I say “super-duper wonderful” because nobody wants to hear a litany about confusion, depression and fatigue.

Time to mow the lawn ?!

.

After all the rain, almost time to mow the grass?! But autumn leaves are still on the ground and need to be raked!! I managed to sprinkle ant poison on fire-ant hills but need to follow-up to confirm the ants are dead. Fire-ants by the millions after rain. ~~ I need to clone myself so two of me to get things done??

Divine intervention ?!

You are free to dispute with me but I choose to believe my Heavenly Father changed the polling place. Today is mid-term Primary Election Day. During my four-plus years, the CARE Center has been the polling place for Escapees Rainbow’s End RV Park, CARE, and surrounding area. I failed to drive into Livingston for early voting and could not (would not) reenter the CARE Center today. I was so emotional–with guilt and depression!! (I’m very patriotic.) For some unidentified reason, voting was taking place in Rainbow’s End Activity Center. When I heard… I shouted “Hallelujah”!! ~~ Yes, I voted.

From my easy chair !!

Daily, I see squirrels on my bird feeders. Hourly, hoping the Bluebirds find me after my relocation. Surprise to see a Cardinal on the Bluebird mealworm feeder. All viewed through the window from the comfort of my easy chair. I confess to being obsessive-compulsive about wildlife in my garden. Sadly, too early in the morning to be relaxing in my “easy chair”  but I still have aches and pains from A very good morning and ABM.
