On a scale of one to twelve, one being best, I’m a FIFTEEN!! I’m so depressed, I just want to find a deep hole and crawl in. It has been almost a month since the air-conditioner was installed and David hasn’t been back to wire the thermostat. There’s a l-o-n-g- story but I won’t bore you with all the details. I’ve contacted three individuals in an effort to get someone else to finish the job. Three declined. I’m waiting for another contractor to call. I have several names and I’ll process through the list.
The heat and humidity is back with a vengeance. I can’t work off my frustration (depression) in my “yarden.” I can’t get interested in blog messages (so you know I’m not in a good space).
Have somebody grumpy call…somebody who can chew his behind.
Deb, I’m trying to be “Mrs. Nice Gal.” Several at CARE have offered to call David but I said “no, I’ll wait to see how long it takes for him to follow up.” David called on Saturday morning and said he’d be here about nine on Tuesday morning. He didn’t want to drive on the holiday weekend. If, and when, he arrives, I’ll be nice. However, I’ll never ask him to do another job and I’ll caution people not to call him for repairs. To be very, very honest, I’d like to tell David “off” (after he hands me my cell phone) but I need the project completed.
On Friday, I stopped at a local RV store/repair and asked for a “ball park” price to install the thermostat. I explained everything… and the man said “probably at least two hours.” Their rate is $115.00 per hour. See why I need to have David complete the job?? David charges $40.00 an hour.
