Poor old air-conditioner finally died. It kept me cool last night. Because my handyman, David, was due at eight o’clock, I turned the A/C off when I got up. Seemed like the sensible thing to do!! ~~ An electrician (“Woody”), and an RV repairman/handyman (David) worked their magic but the thirteen-year-old A/C didn’t respond!! Guess who is melted like butter? ~~ I’ve begun a search, on-line, for new replacement and (not surprisingly) RV A/C is expensive. Even more expensive if I purchase from a local RV dealership!!
.
Since I started this message (at three), I’ve watched the temperature climb to ninety-nine degrees. I expected to see one-hundred degrees but a cloud passed over and the temperature dropped down to ninety-seven. >>>>>Oops!! Three thirty-three PM and the breaker tripped and the A/C fan stopped.<<<<< I hoped I could survive with fan on A/C and two small fans strategically located in the living room of my trailer home. ~~ My CARE family will provide for me. I can sleep in the CARE multi-purpose room tonight?! >>>>>Reset breaker at 3:33 but it clicked off again at 3:49.<<<<< But (like the words of a Christian chorus “I’ll not be defeated!!” (You haven’t heard the last of this story.)
Houston TV meteorologist started the late afternoon news with the statement “Add ten degrees to the recorded temperature” (for “feels like”).

Postscript, Friday, July 22, 2016: Slept in my own bed last night. There are four fans moving hot air around.

Can you put in a regular window AC?
