…and don’t know why…!! Perhaps, subconsciously, I was responding to comments I’ve heard about others getting out their winter wardrobe. This morning I hoisted the foot of the bed and pulled out containers of winter clothes. While I had it open, I removed the Nikken mattress topper, electric mattress pad, Nikken comforter, etc., etc. Off came the bedding (and the awesome better than a sleeping bag) and, one-by-one, I added the items. I’ve slept on the Nikken mattress topper for over a decade (except this last year). Magnets make the difference (!!) and I really need to get back to restful sleep. (I’m awake for hours each night!!) ~~ I didn’t unpack the winter clothes until late afternoon and tried to fit them into the recently created over-the-bed storage. Winter(s) may be so mild here in Texas, I may not need the big variety. I’ll begin to “weed out” and downsize. ~~ It’s 7:30 PM and I wish I had television so I could watch election results. Perhaps I can find some news on the computer and Internet??

Postscript, Nov. 5, 2014: Correction: The bulky mattress topper was removed recently from my mini-storage unit (down the highway). I took it to the recent camp-out in case one person needed to sleep on the floor. I also took a sleeping bag.
Serendipity: One of my roommates gave me a “thank you” card. She wrote “How would we have made it without your [bottled] water; wasn’t it your [hand] soap? And your extra cleaning [I washed the dirty dishes]? You were a great bed fellow–no snoring, leg cramps, etc. Thanks for going. More hugs.” ~~ My response: It’s just my nature to “plan ahead,” etc. ~~ (Question: So why is it taking me so-o-o-o long to get settled–and organized–in my not-so-new home??)

You’ve seen the pictures of the accident?? Well (on the left), that is the Nikken mattress topper with the weight of one wall on it. Then a picture from inside the demolished travel trailer. At my insistence, my son extricated it.
