Another backdated blog message (at 6:30 PM). I wrestled more boxes today Saturday, March 8th, 2014. I shifted things around–at the mini-storage unit–and found more kitchen items. Very few will find their way into my trailer but good to “connect” with missing items. I returned home with things for the kitchen, bathroom and bookshelves. I cannot locate my DVD-VHS player or Blu Ray player. ~~ Later, I took time to admire the blossoms on the tree outside my side-yard window. There are hundreds of honey bees flitting from blossom to blossom.  I have not determined, yet, what kind of tree. ~~ No rain today but the TV evening news meteorologist is still predicting rain for the next several days. Yuck!! (I watch the evening news on the TV set in the CARE multi-purpose room [our “living room”].) Now I am going to relax, and read, in one of the huge La-Z-Boy chairs. When they are gone… I’ll bring my well-traveled glider-recliner from the mini-storage because it has a “smaller footprint.” I purchased it in Lancaster, California, years prior to my retirement December 31st, 1999. So Lancaster to Brookville, Ohio; Ohio to Shelby, North Carolina; then PODS storage for fifteen months before transport to Waxhaw, North Carolina; more recently, North Carolina to Texas. A well-traveled chair!! (It has imitation leather cushions on heavy wrought-iron base. It gets hot and sticky after a period of time [sitting in it] so I toss a cotton tablecloth over it. I found the picture (left) on this website. I do not have that ottoman but chair is very similar to mine. Strangely, mine was an $800. chair (on sale, half price) so I’m surprised to find these two pieces for $300.  Oh well, truth be told, the furniture store in Lancaster may have upped the ticket price to $799. so they could mark it down to $399. “Games People Play” (but that’s a topic for another day)?! ~~ Another… similar to mine.
