Lorraine left Ohio (2006) because she couldn’t tolerate the winter cold, snow, ice, etc. etc. (Really a “wimp” after 40 years living in the desert of Southern California.) It’s nice to see the snow in the yard of a friend in Exeter, New Hampshire. The family left sunny Florida for their traditional holiday in the old family home. Limited heat until the furnace was repaired (burr).

I spent a week (in 2010) parked in that driveway and hours within the home of a very dear lady who opened her heart to me. Seeing her pictures (with an e-mail message) transports me back to that wonderful time when I was traveling with my tiny teardrop trailer. Reminiscing is a respite from the continuing news regarding Newtown, Connecticut tragedy. (I’ve spent too much time watching the TV news.)

Lol, doesn’t seem like it was that long ago, does it? I’m with you on the respite. My heart breaks for those families, but I just can’t let myself dwell on it. Today I read that the Westboro Baptist Church, the lovely folks that protest at servicemen and women’s funerals, is planning of sending people from Ohio to the Newtown to disrupt the chiildren’s funerals. I can only take so much of being disgusted by how low people can sink. The shootings were terrible. But first the anti gun lobbyists and now these idiots have to try and turn these poor parent’s sorrow into political argument. I wish they would let the families be.
Have you ever seen the pictures a lady does with vintage trailers sitting in different locations, including snow? I can’t think of the artist’s name. I can picture your little T@B in one of those settings. Well, maybe without the snow, lol.
Found it…Paige Bridges….the little trailers look so cozy in the pictures, but I wonder how cozy they would actually be. Could the furnaces in the little trailers keep up with snow like that? Anyway, this is what my brain thought of when it put snow along with your mentioning your little trailer….
