The Tampered Apple

I just read this interesting article about The Tampered Apple.  As mentioned previously, I am preparing to embark on the “Daniel Fast.”  This is a new concept for me (strange I had never heard of it before) although I have over three decades interest in health and nutrition.  So I’m searching the Internet for additional information.  Click on one link and read information, then it provides another link, and I’m amazed at the hitherto unknown.  ~~  There isn’t a soul who cares whether I live or die.  There isn’t a soul to care for me if I get sick.  I’ve long accepted the responsibility of “taking care of my health.”  Over the last year, I made some exceptions in my earlier eating habits and, consequently, gained weight.  With the “Daniel Fast,” I’ll seek God’s direction for my life–and cleanse the Temple of the Holy Spirit in the process.  I’m a tampered homo sapien.

  1. Lorraine. I do care if you live or die. As far as someone to care for you there are so many ways to handle this . Get you a good lawyer and make your wishes known. If you can not care for yourself there are facilities at different levels. I am so sorry your blood kin apparently show no interest.

I echo Linda since I also care and that’s why I read your blog. Your attitude is what you choose and the path that is dismal and gloomy is toxic. Please watch this video link because it’s absolutely glorious:

I could listen to the wonderful elderly gentleman’s voice and words all day; his words are from wisdom and strength. My chosen word for 2012 is “Blessings” and I found a small orange rock in a store that had the word imprinted on it. I resolve to carry it with me every day of 2012, and have since before Christmas, and that this video has the same message and theme is beyond fabulous.

When you care, other people care and you receive back beyond measure.

  3. From the above comments, I came across as negative. That was not my intention!! The “live or die” comment was a statement to explain why I’ve spent years following a holistic health lifestyle. Replies to my blog messages are an opportunity “to see myself as others see me.” Thanks!!

I’m confused by the comment: “When you care, other people care and you receive back beyond measure.” I am very generous with my time and finances. Beyond my volunteer hours at JAARS (and Wycliffe Associates), I help with set-up or clean-up of social events (Thanksgiving, etc.).

I appreciate the love that prompted the comments. Wishing you, and my other readers, God’s richest blessings!!

My comment about caring is the message I gleaned from the video. The gentleman mentioned gracing others with eyes, smiles, touch and with those small gestures, caring gives you back unmeasurable caring from others. Often my friends respond in ways that take my breath away and give gifts of themselves after a small gesture from me; it is a true wonder and blessing.
