REGUSTED !!

Difficult to find a definition of the word “regusted” in a dictionary. Hopefully the reader gets the gist of my emotion? At 8:30 PM April 14th, a phone call from an acquaintance to request I do her Income Taxes. I’ve “done” for her for several years but hadn’t heard from her since I was evicted from the CARE Center. I imagined she made other arrangements.

Weather report

This morning, a couple of hours in the yard–before it started to rain. Then dark and gloomy, and strong wind. Before rain–and wind–I burned the pile of limbs. Picked up more limbs in my yard and neighboring yards. The weather interfered with Internet and TV reception. It’s out of our area now, and tomorrow promises to be pleasant.

Xamining Xcess !!

Planning for the cruise provides an unexpected bonus. I’m going through my wardrobe to select items suitable… (because I don’t want to shop for new [used] clothes). I’m finding things that will soon be donated to one of our local charity thrift shops. More items are added to my eventual renewed yard sale. Right now, it is so relaxing to enjoy a respite from the yard sale!! ~~ “Doing” laundry, washing more “bottle bush” bottles, fertilizing plants, etc., etc.

.

Afterthought: Wearing a jacket this morning. Sixty-four degrees outdoors as I type this postscript (at 11:15 AM). Yo-yo weather.

“Cruisin'” on my mind !!

Small items for our purse, or pocket. My companion on the cruise is a “well seasoned” traveler. She is an Avon distributor (with high rank). My Dollar Tree purchases are trivia but I thought “only fair” to share my “small stuff” with her. ~~ “Don’t forget to pack the sunglasses.”

Banish the blues ?!

Even with “cruisin’ on my mind,” I’m depressed. So many projects demanding my attention. Last thing I need is limited use of my right hand. I love the yard and spent a couple of hours “puttering.” (1) Hung the Hummingbird feeders, (2) fertilized plants, (3) swept, and hosed, approach areas, (4) picked up more fallen limbs.

Preparing for a cruise

.

A trip into Livingston specifically to visit thrift shops–looking for a rolling suitcase. First stop: Habitat for Humanity. As always, I was warmly greeted at the counter (they know me because of my donations, and previous volunteering). I told the clerk what I was looking for and a second lady disappeared…, and returned with the two (yes, two) for $20.00. Nested inside is a second somewhat smaller suitcase. I don’t “need” two… but “the price was right.” It wasn’t planned but my KIA headed to Dollar Tree where I spent $51.00 on “small stuff” for cruise. Sure, I could (can) put shampoo, etc., in smaller containers but the small product containers are “cute.” I bought two of everything so I can prepare a gift bag for my friend who grasiously invited me to join her on this cruise.

Feels like “summer” !!

.

In my humble opinion,“don’t turn on the A/C in early April.” I haven’t an ounce of energy; I’m so lethargic!! What’s a Texas resident supposed to do? In a few days, another “cold front” will play havoc with our weekend. If you are following the weather reports across the nation, severe winter weather in multiple areas. ~~ I have one window open, at the rear of the trailer, and the front door (only door) is open. I’d open other windows for cross ventilation BUT impossible. This trailer fits like “hand in glove”  between the timbers that support the roof. ~~~~ Yours truly has a plan: This evening, walk across the street to the air-conditioned Clubhouse and watch two movies. Mary Poppins Returns and Lorraine will be there.
