Being Prepared

Remember the Boy Scouts motto “Be prepared”? When I lived in California, I had  items labeled “earthquake preparedness.”  When I lived in Livingston, Texas, I purchased a food supply for tornado or hurricane preparedness. Nowin Waco, TexasI am “prepared” if the Coronavirus pandemic drags from weeks to months.

Confession !!

The earlier blog messages were prepared before seven AM. The only requirement: Upload the pictures to the preprepared message. ~~~~ It’s 1:35 PM and I am exhausted (extremely beyond exhausted). I know my limits; I do not have a lot of strength and energy. I  planned to hire a helper but everyone is respecting the mandate to “keep our distance.” I found several things I was searching for but did not locate “soft soap.”

Totally Terrific Thursday !!

Number One: I enjoyed a remarkable ten hours sleep!! That is extremely rare!! I surmise that my “spinning brain” accepted the news that the Carbonite “download” was complete. Number Two: The “Myrtle Traxler Family Tree” has seen hours of attention (and I can “relax”?). Number Three: Yesterday was a beautiful Spring day and I spent time working in the yard. So I enjoyed sunshine and fresh air!!

Daunting task !!

Shopping trip not advisable; obligated to check my private “store” for “soft soap” and extra supply of nutritional supplements. For more than two months, you’ve heard my lament: “Where is it?”

.

At 6:15 PM, the indoor-outdoor thermometer read 82 indoors and 82 outdoors.

Happy Wednesday

Wednesday, happy Wednesday (3)

The “download” was completed earlier today. Now I have the challenge of learning how to maneuver in Windows-10. In total it took more than thirty minutes to find the above clip art, download the above clip art, find… in my Dell desktop computer, insert in this message. This is my second attempt to prepare this “experiment” message.

Another experiment ?

“The old lady” has so much to learn about Windows-10. The previous message was prepared with WordPress default “new style” (because I didn’t know how to [initially] change the style).  After brain-spinning research, this message is prepared with the familiar “old style.” Please be tolerant of me as I (figuratively) grope around in the dark.

Life in the slow lane ?!

Why is it taking so long (you ask)? “Images” is the answer. The last time I checked the monitor, image number 4235 was being downloaded. Those are my pictures in Picasa. There were/are pictures (images) in the blog messages, too. Quite honestly, I’m not going anywhere. There is a mandatory quarantine for residents of McClellan County (Waco), Texas.

Did you catch my error? I had already prepared the blog message about “three-quarters and counting”–on the 23rd. All I needed to do was take a picture (with the camera) and place the image in the (prepared) blog message. The time and date (on the picture) are the 24th but the 23rd appears on the “print screen” image. “The old lady”  was a “proofreader” for many years. She tries to publish error-free messages. This error crept into the message because “the old lady”  was tired and sleepy at two o’clock this morning!!
