Kudos to Houston NBC-TV. Earlier, I mentioned reporters “in the field.” Now I commend the people in the studio(s). The “week day” meteorologist’ and traffic-report(s) men and women are still working on this Saturday morning.

Hello Harvey
“Harvey” noon note
Heavy rain !!
Flooded
Levity ?!

Marathon TV news showing the horrific damage. I’m exhausted just watching the television. I’m so grieved as I sympathize with specifically senior citizens without transportation, without assistance, “hunkered down” in their tornado-damaged home(s). So, while listening… and watching…, I searched clip art. Here’s my report for four-forty-four (4:44 PM). To my knowledge, no damage at the CARE Center or the adjacent Rainbow’s End RV Park.
“Fourteenth strongest hurricane to ever hit the United States” according to TV meteorologist Frank Billingsley. (Reason for me to look for “fourteen” clip art.)
More numbers !!
Rockport, Texas, “hit” by Hurricane Harvey
Lorraine speculates the damage to the Rockport community may have an impact on the annual Hummingbird Festival. Here’s a history of the festival. ~~ Tonight, NBC Evening News with Lester Holt was anchored from Rockport. That prompted my “remembrance” of the desire to travel to…, and participate. I love Hummingbirds!! Just today, I watched two on the feeder near the patio, and within the line of vision from my easy chair. (“My easy chair” as I binged on television coverage of Hurricane Harvey.) ~~ Poster and trivia. ~~ Hummingbird video.

Changing the subject: The Tree Frogs are “singing” as I write (and publish) this message. They are so happy when we have rain!! One little guy lives in a bird house on my patio.
Attitude of gratitude !!
“High and dry; safe and sound.”
Copious amounts of rain; tornadoes…. The Houston NBC TV station has elaborate equipment, and cameras everywhere!! Gratefully, Livingston isn’t “in the picture”; we are outside the storm area. I’m grateful for “mild” weather; I’m crying for storm-ravaged Houston and surrounding communities.
I want to turn off the TV and go to bed (it’s 10:30) **but** … (no words to explain).
Helpless against Harvey ?!
“One-hundred-ten miles per hour wind” was the opening comment I heard when I turned on Houston TV news at 6:00 AM. That was followed by “Thirty inches of rain.” My little postage-stamp-size home and yard is eighty to one-hundred miles from the Gulf. According to the little map, I am two-hundred-eighty-one miles from projected point of landfall. ~~ I took pictures of items that may fall victim to the wind: Antenna, awning, and tarp shelter. In the past, I have published messages about “Lake Lorraine” around, and under, my trailer. If my yard gets flooded, water will enter the storage building. The boxes may not be any safer in the storage building versus the tarp shelter?!
“Sunday night into Tuesday” is most severe time-frame was another comment by Houston TV meteorologist. This is Friday morning; we (I) have time to prepare for Harvey.
