This information is valuable about Mandevilla. (This  valuable information resurrected from an earlier date.) Here are early May pictures of my once-beautiful, blooming, Mandevilla plants. So much love, time and energy went into my “yarden.”  Few plants have survived.

Thirteen plants that repel mosquitoes.

I appreciate this information but I don’t plan to start more plants. As recently stated, I do not have the heart for a new garden. Picture #2: My Mosquito plant survived a freeze in 2017 but not 2018.

Insecticide, and additive. Although I don’t plan to prepare a garden the size at previous location, I want to protect the remaining plants.

You’d be surprised how many garden products I have stashed away. In my neighborhood, very few gardeners. ~~ Friends, neighbors, and yard sale customers aren’t interested in my “stuff.” Second best solution: Use!! ~~ This container of Animal-B-Gone had never been opened. Time to experiment and see if it is effective?! ~~ Honestly, I don’t mind feeding the squirrels BUT they arrive–four at a time–and drive the birds away.

National Day of Prayer.

Yesterday, Houston TV meteorologist said it was the hottest day of the year to date–in the nineties. I didn’t check. Today promises to be likewise hot and humid. I hate to start using my air-conditioner so early in the year.

National Bugs Bunny Day.

This “national”  day caught my attention because my “across the driveway” neighbor shouts at me saying “You hide like a rabbit.”  True!! I withdraw inside my trailer home because I don’t want to engage in conversation with the verbally abusive angry man.

Nice day but heat with humidity–and rain–on the horizon. “Wet weekend”  according to TV meteorologist. ~~ A trip to Lowe’s this afternoon for several items.

Fifteen flowers Hummingbirds love to visit.

Blog messages regarding Hummingbirds in my yard: (1) Hummingbird on feeder; (2) Hummingbird Heaven; (3) Hummingbird outside my window; (4) Camera available; (5) No joke; (6) Believe it or not; (7) Gratefully grateful; (8) Hummingbird poster and trivia; many other messages, search with the word “Hummingbird.” ~~ They move so fast, it’s difficult to get a good picture.

Insecticide spray on the web in the tree; poison on ant hills; filled bird feeders. Nothing strenuous because yesterday (and previous days) “too much strenuous” and I am in pain.
