“Curiosity” made me do it !!

I’d rather climb trees while skipping breakfast, lunch, and supper. When I saw that Brubaker married Brubaker, I had to search for their common ancestor. ~~ Today, the ninetysix degrees temperature will be a “record breaker.” We have had yo-yo weather lately. ~~ A day in the life of old lady Lorraine.

Notable accomplishment ?

Four Hummingbird feeders were thoroughly washedand nectar was prepared. The Hummingbirds have not arrived but I’m ready for them. “Notable accomplishment”  because the reader is witness to the fact that Lorraine (occasionally) does something other than Ancestry.com.

Deja vu “Small business: Ancestry !!”

First thing I do each morning: Check my email messages. I had correspondence from a Frantz researcher. I doublechecked my informationand her information. My memory reflected: “Been there, done that.”  Below is the exact blog message from November 30, 2019.

In my email messages this morning, an inquiry about possible family relationship. So I searched my Ancestry database and I didn’t have her relative. Almost two-thousand individuals with the Frantz surname (in my database) but I didn’t have Otto Adolf Frantz (1859-1945). So I started searching for his family and here I am seven hours later still in my pajamas (and no breakfast or lunch). It is a pleasant eighty degrees outdoors and indoors. I should be outdoors tackling projects!! I found Otto and documented his family. He/they are from a different “tree” but I am always eager to document everyone with the Frantz surname.

Searching for, and documenting individuals takes a lot of time.

Digging for information

Malvina Troxler isn’t related to Lorraine. (She would be a 3rd great-grandaunt.)  Frequently, subscribers to Ancestry hang Malvina on the TRAXLER family tree. Today (no foolin’), I set out to gather solid information firmly establishing her family tree. Regrettably, there are too few sources… and time to turn to other projects.

No foolin’

A week ago,  briefly, I was reminded of the television commercial where a woman is crying out for assistance. “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”  Praise the Lord, I managed to pull myself up by grabbing the edge of the shower door and the edge of the bathroom door.

Seriously, wishing you a blessed first day of April.
