Bad night !!

“Good morning”  to my blog friends. I spent the entire night in my comfortable chair/glider and it ceased to be comfortable about midnight. The little insects are still crawling around in my bed. I see them, I kill them. “They” do not “trail” so I can’t see where they are coming from.

Exercise in futility ??

Awake at two in the morning because the teenietiny little insects were crawling on me. OMG, what’s the old lady supposed to do? Each one was instantly plucked from whatever part of my body and squeezed to death between my fingers. Yet another night where my sleep was rudely interrupted. ~~ I don’t eat in bed so food crumbs can’t be the attraction.  This old lady is getting increasingly cantankerous so the insects aren’t attracted because I’m so sweet (LOL). ~~ Three loads of laundry yesterday plus a shower, washing my hair, and clean pajamas. All those events were an “exercise in futility”?  ~~ A friend suggested I get a “bug bomb” (or two) and set one off in my trailer home. I’d have to leave home for several hours and, according to her, a big cleanup job afterward. ~~ EXCUSE ME!! A “BUG BOMB” IS NOT ON MY “TODO “LIST. ~~

Counting my blessings!! A resident neighbor had a stroke last week and he is in the hospital and not doing well. I’m so grateful that my a-fib was diagnosed before it caused me to have a stroke.

POSTSCRIPT @ 11:10 AM: I ought to be thankful for Meals on Wheels but the food items are things I rarely or never eat.

“Ty” and me

The weather is slightly cooler, praise the Lord!! Lorraine is feeling better, praise the Lord!! Reinforced with Tylenol, a project was tackled: Strip the bed and wash the bedding in hot water, and dry in a hot dryer.

The little insects are still distracting from my already limited good night’s sleep. My “comfortable chair” isn’t very comfortable after several hours. Hopefully, clean bedding will resolve the problem?

Postscript @ two o’clock: Extra precaution thanks to lady-friend, Deb. She ordered… and had it mailed to me. This is for “sugar ants” but may attract the teenietiny insects?! This is positioned in the corner, on the left side, at the front of the bed.

New to me…

…a meal from Meals on Wheels. Shortly after I came home from the hospital, a Social Worker contacted mea referral from the hospital. Then she (Social Worker) made a referral to Meals on Wheels. I protested saying I was confident I was ineligible. “No,” my compromised health made me eligible. Honestly, I would have enjoyed a salad but “beggars can’t to choosers.” Not that I am literally a “beggar”the saying came to mind because I am reduced to nothing.

Good, better, best…

I wish I could say that I am “good,” striving for “better,” and eventually “best.” My daytoday experience is unlike anything I’ve experienced in my lifetime. I spend my day (and part of the night) “gliding” in my glider/comfortable chair.

No better fast !!

.

I wish I could publish this blog message saying “excellent.” I’m still feeling “puny” and (in this case) the dial would be pointing at “not good.” Having been healthy my entire life, I am NOT a very good sick person!!

I’m not complaining especially after watching a TV special with Franklin Graham of Samaritan’s Purse. It was about his experience with residents and volunteers during this horrible war in Ukraine. Their ministry continues amongst wreck and ruin.

Deplorable ?

Ants in my bed!! True story: Ants in my bed. Seriously, they interfere with a good night’s sleep. They arrive after I go to bed and are visible when I awaken and turn on the light. They are the smallest ants I’ve ever seen–about the size of a period. Question: If not ants, what are they?

I have suffered from a lack of sleep for many months or a couple of years. Ants in my bed is a deplorable situation!! I guess that is my punishment for being one of the “DEPLORABLES” (supporters of Donald Trump).

Postscript: I am so tired, it is an effort to lift my coffee cup.

Feeling puny !!

Better days are anticipated. SINCERE THANKS to friends for email best wishes.  I do not have the energy to prepare and send personal answers. Please accept my apology. For four days, I did not open the front door and venture outdoors. Early this morning, I ventured into the yard to position the sprinkler and water the dying lawn. ~~ I spent time (today) “climbing the family tree” for a cousin. He requested and I responded (because I am an editor for his tree). Most of the time, I am “gliding” in my easy chair.
