The repairman did not return to finish the job. I’m so disappointed because I’ve been very generous with him (Dave) in the past!! ~~ I’m wringing wet with sweat; I hope to get wonderfully wet with cool refreshing rain water.

Remember when Richard Simmons had a workout video about “Sweating to the Oldies“?? Well, I am “sweating with the oldies”!! Remember, I have boxes (and boxes) of old family history cluttering my living room. I’m surrounded by “oldies.”

Bottom line: The motor has failed on the air-conditioner. I’ve checked the Internet for a replacement. The warranty for my fourteen month old A/C is worthless; what a joke!! Yes, the A/C has a two-year warranty but I’d have to send the motor back to the address they specified for them to examine “for defects,” and then repair, and return. That might take months!!

It has been less than thirty minutes since I took the picture. Now: Ninety degrees outdoors and ninety-three degrees indoors. I’m heading for the comfort of the CARE Center.

Almost bedtime.

Less time watching television; more time in my “yarden.” One brick at a time?? No TV news about disastrous aftermath from Harvey and Irma. Limited time on the Internet; more time preparing several gardening blog messages. Seriously, I made myself sick following news coverage.

I’ve lamented the departure of that large plant (above) because the recipient never gave it attention. I wish “recipient” had returned to me. My little “slip” has thrived and I’m hoping for blooms next Spring.

Temperature (with a capital T) has been delightful for a couple of weeks. However, heat and humidity has returned and fewer hours spent in my “yarden.”
