A dear friend just introduced me to Tamarind. He gave me some seeds to plant, and one sample to taste. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve heard of “it” before so searched the Internet for information.
What the hell is Tamarind? was the first one I read (because of the title).
Of course, Wikipedia provided additional information.

I remember tasting a tamarind in the Bahamas years ago and thought it tasted like the fruit in A-1 sauce
