In an effort to place my plants in their appropriate permanent location, I keep “juggling” planters. Today, I think I moved the cucumber planter for the last time. (Hey, it’s heavy!!)  After raking the area where the bed frame sat for fourteen months, I dug a hole and inserted a planter–with the bottom cut out. That is the location for the second planter with Scarlet Runner Beans. The major location is next to the bed frame turned trellis. (The Scarlet Runner Bean may not thrive in the shade of the trees but no investment lost if it dies.) I am obsessive-compulsive about using the “yard stuff” hauled from North Carolina–and acquired since…. “Use it or lose it.”

My backyard neighbor should have no further complaints about the view from her living room windows.

I’m working ahead of the next storm. We’ve already had a few sprinkles and 30% rain predicted for today. Tomorrow will be a major storm with tornado warnings.
