Trying to get organized !!

“A place for everything, and everything in its place.”

The storm did not materialize (gratefully) so I worked in the yard most of the day. Four-ten PM as I write this and I’m enjoying some earned rest. ~~ I knew the Boston Fern was root-bound, and I had been told the plant can be cut into sections. If it fails… I haven’t lost anything because the original plant was dying when anonymously left on my doorstep (last year). It thrived… but now too big for the planter. ~~ This morning I planted ten plants–and several more beg my attention. I emptied the two bags of planter soil purchased yesterday!!!!

Believe it or not, I have forty-four planters with plants–and fourteen planters that will definitely be filled before Summer. I didn’t count the many miscellaneous planters that may never be used. I’m attempting to use as much garden stuff as possible and then donate (or trash) the remainder. My goal: A tidy attractive yard.

One disappointment: Alex (washed the trailers) called and asked if I had anything he could do. I said “yes” and explained that I want long chains hung from thick limbs high up in the trees–to support hanging plants. I have the chains and hardware, and ladders, and I speculated it would take less than one hour to accomplish. When he said “$30.00 or $35.00” I told him the project wasn’t that important; I’d pass.
