Sunday update

My garden is my sanctuary. I praise God for the beauty–and thank Him for my health so I can bend and stoop, climb and cut. “Sweeping” is no small task because pine needles, and leaves, litter the patio and sidewalk–and millions of unpopped-popcorn-size seeds from the trees. (Don’t know their name. I do know they are considered invasive and Texas would like to eliminate all of them.) ~~ Later: Did some research on the Internet. The trees are Chinese Tallow.

Under the weather ?!

Black cloud with rainA play on words (LOL). The heavy rain–and the entire area soaking wet–may be affecting the WiFi signal. No WiFi at home and a very weak signal while sitting in the Activity Center (three feet from the router). ~~ Just wanted to let the reader know that I may not prepare a blog message for a few days. ~~ I panic when my computer doesn’t work!! I came to the CARE Center to double-check whether laptop or WiFi. Gratefully, the latter.

What color is your personality ??

Dr OzMine is orange. This was an interesting topic on a recent Dr. Oz television program. There are four colors: Red, orange, yellow and green. I’d like to think “they” correctly identified my color from four questions. And they are correct about my “gut” problem. Remember, recently I wrote that I “internalize” situations?! Currently, I’m suffering from pain in the shoulder and discomfort in the abdominal area.

Obsession with the birds!!

Close upPeeking out the window; “lurking”; camera in hand. I’m fascinated by the birds!! I’m not afraid of them; they don’t attack me (remember Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds?). Grackles (I think they are Grackles) have taken over the Universe!! Cardinals, and Finches, can’t get to the feeders. Even the Robins leave the field when the black birds descend like a cloud. The invaders are bullies; they push and shove. Or, are they just extremely hungry??  ~~ At this rate, I’ll go through a fifty pound bag of bird seed in about one week!! ~~ On the Internet, trying to correctly identify, I am confused. These might be Cowbirds.

Hundreds of birds

Bursitis ??

Almost four inchesDid the wet weather* cause my Bursitis?? According to information on the Internet, the cause may be prolonged periods of repetitive action. Too much time sitting at the computer?? So much pain!! ~~ “Hi” and “bye.”

*Our total rainfall in less than sixty hours.

Grin and bear it !!

Grin and bear itWorked in the yard most of the afternoon. It was damp and cold but I was able to forgot my shoulder pain. I filled bird feeders, drilled holes in the bottom of planters, positioned and re-positioned planters. Hanging baskets were hung from supports. It was very good to get the planters out of my living room!! (“Please, Lord God, no more freezing temperatures!!”) The birds are happy because their soggy seed was dumped and dry seed supplied.
