Sunday afternoon at a Community Concert. We did it frequently–forty years ago. But today the concert was half a lifetime later and 1600 miles (+/-) from Lancaster, California. I didn’t know “Community Concerts” still existed; I was so “out of touch”!! A new acquaintance picked me up in their car and provided the membership ticket. (I’ll be buying my own membership for next season.) But the very pleasant memories flooded my mind as I sat in the Livingston High School Auditorium waiting for the performance to start.
The performance was great and I plan to return to this message and provide details. It’s late, I’ve only been home a few minutes. Frankly, I didn’t want the “outing” to end so I lingered in the CARE Center after the evening meal visiting with friends (and watching some TV). Today was “special” because I “dressed up” and enjoyed a very different kind of day. It’s late and I’m heading to bed where I’m sure I’ll experience “sweet dreams.”
