Hibiscus: One of my previously unidentified plants. Today I saw the first blooms. Perhaps tomorrow the other plant blossom will be open so I will know its name too. Those two plants have monopolized one-third of “Pandora’s Garden” and I didn’t know whether to remove. Well (obviously), I choose to wait for blooms and–armed with information from the Internet–decide what to do with them. Another season, they need pruning and supports.

Sadly, I had to do radical surgery on the once-beautiful Fuchsia. I did everything I could to encourage it but decided it needed a new start.
Postscript, Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 9:00 PM: The second plant has been identified as Malvaviscus Arboreus.
