For two days, I have attempted to upload pictures to the blog. No success!! The last thing I need right now is the time-consuming task of trying to find the computer problem. Is it my Internet Service Provider (ISP); is the hard drive almost full??  ~~  “Downsizing” is my priority!!

I have five boxes ready to ship to family. I’ve spent a lot of hours on that project!! See Christmas in July!!

Postscript, Saturday, Aug. 4th, 2012, 9:00 AM: FYI, I have over twenty-five years experience with personally owned home computers. (I started with an IBM-PC-Jr. in 1987.)  I’m pretty “savvy” (for an old lady). My problem was (is) as suspected: The hard drive is down to four percent free space!! Yipes!! This laptop computer is almost six years old and I suspect it is time for me to replace it. A bit of trivia: My first laptop computer, purchased in November 1999, cost over $2,500. This computer cost less than $1,000. I’ll be able to purchase something exceedingly better (than the previous two) for about $500. (I’ve owned desk-top computers, too, but I want to keep things small and compact.)

Postscript, Sunday, Aug. 5th, 2012, 3:00 PM:  **If** I could upload a picture, it would be of a woman pulling her hair out!!  I am so frustrated because I have been deleting programs,  and files, for hours–and only freed up fourteen percent more space.  That isn’t enough to upload a picture!!  It’s a mystery where the “space hog” is and why this problem happened virtually overnight.  ~~  While programs, and files, are slowly uninstalled, or deleted, I am keeping busy shredding old Income Tax records and other information.  Some of the information would have been valuable for an autobiography but I question whether I will ever accomplish that project.  “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)

Postscript, Monday, Aug. 6th, 2012, 10:30 PM: I was on-line for several hours (this evening) with a computer technical person.   It cost me “an arm and a leg” but, hopefully, the problems are resolved.  Time will tell.    “I could a (should a) bought a new computer!?”
