Breaking news: Bluebird house raided!! During the cover of darkness, a crime was committed.
Waxhaw, NC, 7/23/2012, 6:30 AM: I awakened to see the Bluebird house at precarious angle. Pine needles (nesting material) was poking out the door. I’m sure Mama and Papa Bluebird are traumatized so I have not attempted to open the house to see if the babies survived. ~~ Stay tuned; additional details to follow.

Oh, no….something got the robin’s eggs that were in a nest next to my aunt’s porch in upstate NY, too….nature, I guess, but what a shame. The babies, too? 😦
