Thrill, thrill!! Twelve noon and I’m able to see Bluebird babies in the nest!! The last time (previous nesting), I was unable to see and photograph the babies. This is awesome!! I’ve hoped for this day since I saw my first Bluebirds on Sunday, March 11th, 2012. (Click on the pictures to enlarge for better viewing.) ~~ A lot has happened in my backyard the last four months: Bird houses, bird feeders, hanging baskets, planters, flowers, tomatoes… and the never-ending battle to keep the squirrels off the bird feeders. (Why not spend some time following my blog messages since the first of the year??) ~~~~ Postscript, 2:00 PM: Rather than shred old income tax records, I prefer to watch, and photograph, wildlife (“Papa Blue” & “Mama Blue”), in my backyard!! Likewise, it is more entertaining to work on my blog (rather than shred and downsize). ~~~~ It is raining very hard at 2:10 and (thankfully) the air is much cooler!! Notice the wet bird house in picture with Mama Blue. ~~ Postscript, 4:00 PM: I try to keep the dish full of fresh mealworms because Papa and Mama have little mouths to feed.
