Hopelessly addicted ?

Correspondence (email) yesterday from a “cousin” launched me into Ancestry.com again. It has been several weeks since I enjoyed time with my hobby. Frankly, I haven’t “time” today but I want to document this new cousin.

Confession from “Ms. Dolittle”

Yup, “do  little”!! The amount of tasks is almost overwhelming!! To complicate the situation: I sat on my glasses!! I haven’t wanted to go out in this cold blustery weather but (sooner or later) need to go to Walmart and get the glasses repaired. (I purchased the glasses from Walmart in Livingston.)

Making progress ?!

No pictures but “trust me” half-a-dozen boxes were emptied. The bedroom has less clutter (and better organized). Time to “sit a bit”?! A cold, windy day and I have no desire to walk beyond my porch. Boxes deposited on the porch but “old lady” quickly retreated to her warm comfortable new home.

“Good day” !!

Two o’clock on a blustery winter afternoon as I start this message. A neighbor gentleman just stopped by to ask if I need anything. He is headed into Waco to buy groceries “for a couple of sick people.”  Severe weather is forecast for later today and tomorrow and Jerry wanted to be sure I have everything I need. How kind, thoughtful and considerate!!

This morning: Waffles and companionship (with residents) in the Clubhouse. Yesterday: “Another pair of hands” as I struggled to attach the new television to the new TV stand. Tomorrow morning: “Big breakfast” in the Clubhouse with the residents. I’m so impressed by the love expressed in this RV Park, I feel compelled to shout the news to my readers.

A storm shelter !!

Yesterday, I learned that this RV Park has a comfortable “storm shelter.” **IF** a tornado is forecast for this area, we can gather is this large steel container. Huge chains criss-cross the top and are anchored in cement. ~~ The local TV news has predicted tornados in Texas, strong wind, heavy rain, and the possibility of hail. It’s unlikely that I’ll be alerted to “take shelter” but comforting to know about this safety feature (almost in my backyard).

Happy almost Friday

Today, TV and Wi-Fi service will be installed.

I have a serious question rattling around in my brain. Could all my computer and TV viewing (screen time) interfere with my sleep?? Nine days now without television, eight days without major Wi-Fi. I’ve been sleeping better here than a year there. I’ll see if my sleeplessness returns when I spend hours on Ancestry.com. I hope and pray that my wonderful, refreshing sleep is due to less stress.

Tomorrow, Friday, the RV Park serves waffles for breakfast. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a waffle. I’m looking forward to Friday!!
