This message prepared on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 with comparison pictures of rain during evening of July 3rd and morning of July 4th.

Thunder, lightning, hard rain for about fifteen minutes during evening of July 3rd. Yours truly is uncertain when rain started early morning July 4th but reduced to mist when picture taken of rain gauge.

Recess?? Approximately one-and-one-half hours watering and fertilizing the plants. “Fertilize”  is my first-of-the-month ritual.  I’m “downsizing” (lol)  using “left over” products from previous seasons. Honestly, very little expense for my yard this year.

Between TV-church programs and between commercials, I quickly gave my plants a drink of water. ~~ In the picture, on the left, my tomato plant and fig tree. I’ve enjoyed my first tomato and first fig.

But, truthfully, eighty-two degrees doesn’t feel very cold.

Postscript: The indoor-outdoor thermometer still reads ninety-nine degrees so it’s possible the thermometer can’t display one-hundred (or more) degrees.

Oh boy, oh joy!! On NBC Sunday Today, I learned of a major recycling project. A few days ago I wrote about my (minuscule) recycling projects.  It’s a thrill to see the length and breadth of the 4Ocean endeavor. Another 4Ocean story and many more on the Internet. Although I seldom wear jewelry, I’m going to order their bracelet.

The movie Pay it Forward was shown at the Clubhouse last night. (We enjoy films on Wednesday and Friday nights.) I loved the film (except for some of the [offensive to me] language). To my great joy, James “Jim” Caviezel had a role. (I love, love, love Jim and his portrayal of Jesus in The Passion of the Christ.)
