Milestone

Four thousand individuals with the FRANTZ surname in the Lorraine Frantz Family Tree (in Ancestry). I wish I could share an image.

Hours later!! I created a new blog site and it is titled Eighty-eight and Counting. I found it extremely difficult to prepare a message so I am facing a “learning curve.” The reader will see new images on the new site.

Enjoying “my medicine”!!

Creating blog messages and/or “climbing the family tree” is my medicine. When sick, half-sick, stressed, or distressed, I forget the pain or fatigue while engrossed on the computer. The “garage sale” is over and this very tired old lady wasn’t content to sit in the recliner. “Time to prepare another blog message.”

Complaint #1: The retirement facility did not advertise the event to the citywide community of Waco. A sign wasn’t prepared until 10:00 AM Friday and then placed at the major thoroughfare past our building.

Complaint #2: Most of the residents did not know about the “garage sale” until they headed toward the dining room for breakfast or lunch.  For the most part, “the residents”  did not needor wantthe items we had for sale.

I haven’t counted my money to see how much I collected. Off the top of my head, I’m thinking about $125.00. Will I do this again??  “Yes,”  because another garage sale is promised for next monthand next time two of us participants will make sure there is advertising directed toward folks living in the Waco, Texas, area.

I regret that I can’t display pictures. Remember, I am “out of space”  on this blog. I’m considering creating a new blog and thought I’d title it Eighty-eight and counting. (It is much less expensive for me to start a new blog versus “upping” the gigabytes for this blog.)

**IF** I could share music…

…I’d have the Hallelujah Chorus  playing at top volume!!

I’d have the Hallelujah Chorus at top volume the minute you clicked on this blog message. The money is in the Bank. I can now relax and enjoy the retirement community without obsessing about my “for sale” trailer home. For the next several days, I’ll concentrate on collecting and pricing more items for the garage sale on Friday and Saturday. Starting next week, I can work toward an attractive apartment rather than Fibber McGee’s closet.”  (Is anyone reading this old enough to remember Fibber McGee and Molly?)

Elation !!

Elation celebration!! Too bad that I can’t upload a picture expressing “elation.”   GOOD NEWS: Yesterday afternoon, the buyer of my trailer homeand yours trulyexchanged paperwork (the title and a cashier’s check). ~~  My next goal: Dispose of a lot of extra things at the upcoming “garage sale.” Then I can reorganize my apartment. 🙂  ~~ Later in the month, I can decide whether I want to start a new blog so I can display pictures (and clipart).

Sleepless in Waco

So much on my mind!!

(1) Trailer home for sale, (2) InternetWiFi connection problems, (3) Unable to add pictures to my blog because “out of space,” (4) preparation for a “garage sale” (with others) here at the retirement home, (5) yada, yada, yada. Keep me in your prayers?

AOK

A local PC Doctor repaired my computer yesterday afternoon and I now have access to the Internet on my mostfavored desktop computer. ~~ I have not decided how to continue “blogging”or just quit preparing a blog. Any suggestions? ~~ I prepared an attractive new heading for a perhaps new blog but, regrettably, cannot display it here for the reader’s evaluation (“not enough space”). I’ve considered calling a new blog Lakeshore Leisure Lorraine. The “heading” with a large calligraphy capital L and the words akeshore, eisure, orraine to the right of the large letter L. Repeat: Any suggestions?

Praise report

Two “hot” topics.

One-hundred-seven degrees on my balcony, in the shade, at 3:35 PM. I’ve been out in the miserable heat driving to and from my trailer home. I “showed” the trailer and a woman said she will buy it. Praise the Lord!!

I haven’t resolved the problem with my desktop computer and the Internet connection. Trying to prepare a blog message on my old laptop computer is almost impossible. I’m keeping the message short but wanted friends and family to hear my good news moments after I arrived back in my cool and comfortable apartment.

Change of pace

Your blogger is facing computer limitations. Approximately forty-three hours ago, our area experienced a brief lightning storm that shut down my TV and computer. About five minutes later, the TV automatically began to work again. That night and several times yesterday, I tried to restore the Wi-Fi  to the desktop computer. Finally, I had guidance from a customer service “real alive” person with Spectrum. Still no Wi-Fi and a technician was scheduled to come and look at the problem. Shortly after one o’clock, a pleasant young man surveyed the situation and gave me the bad news that the problem is with my computer and not Spectrum. ~~ This message is being prepared on my laptop computer. I cannot turn to the laptop because the screen is too small (for my tired old eyes). ~~ Blog messages and Ancestry will be curtailed. Three-quarters of an hour struggle to prepare this brief message.

Double whammy

I’m distressed because I made stressful trips across Waco to show the trailer and the individuals didn’t declare an intention to purchase. The rejection leaves me with miserable stomach/gut pain. I had a restless sleepless night.

At breakfast this morning, the maintenance man requested that I remove everything from the balcony. The painters are working on my side of the building. After breakfast, I moved bottles, etc., etc. to my living room. I wish I could upload a picture of the items in my living room. “Double whammy”  because the odor of paint is extremely strong and it has me nauseous, with a headache. Until I started this blog message, I spent all my time in the recliner doing nothing. Due to my current health limitations, I wastoo sickto go to the dining room for lunch.
