Detective at work !!

.

OMG, I work so hard to have everything accurate but I see a mistake in one of my comments. The date on the middle comment should be 6 Feb 2022 and not 5 Feb 2022. I saw the error when I looked at the published message. I strive for 200% accuracy.

FYI: I stumbled on her (again) while documenting other close family members. Wrong name but right woman. The janitor cleaned up another mess!!

Irrefutable

I desire to be healthy…, and warm…, and organized. Will life ever be “normal” again? Since Christmas day, I’ve left my trailer home a few times to take the trash to the dumpster and retrieve correspondence from the mailbox. I have not driven my car since December 17th and that was for the single purpose of a doctor’s appointment. The last time I went grocery shopping was November 22nd. Only 242 total miles driven in 2021 (but about $900.00 paid for insurance coverage). You’ll agree that my life is out of balance? Repeat: Will life ever be “normal” again? I have my sanity, only by the grace of God, my Heavenly Father, and the companionship of Ancestry.com. (Maybe I don’t have my sanity?)

Postscript: Question my sanity?

Old lady on her soap box (again) !!

.

Under other circumstances, I’d be glued to the computer television for figure skating, opening, and closing ceremonies, interviews with athletes etc. I’m ignoring the Olympics in China.

Postscript on 5 Feb 2022: Did you catch my error? I “proof” my messages but this “goof” escaped me. Perhaps because I always have the computer on my mind?

Smart, wise, cold !!

The warmest place in my home is the bed because it is heated with an electric mattress pad. Two o’clock in the afternoon and I think I’ll go back to bed. Confession: Sometimes I think I am smart as a fox and wise as an owl. If that were true, I couldn’t sit at the computer for hours feeling as cold as a snowman.  🙂

Answer questions and clean up messes !!

Snow on the ground in Waco, Texas, and we will endure freezing temperatures for several days. ~~ I received a message last night and answered it this morning.

Hi Lorraine, My name is Maria Czulewicz from North East Pa. Do you know Anthony Pellicano? He lives in California and he is trying to find out information on the Pellicano or Pellican Family. I was wondering if you may have any information on his father’s side of the family. Thank you, Maria

.

Hello Maria, and thanks for your message. I did not recognize the name but did a search and found this person https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/167701410/person/242184517860/facts “Copy” the link and “paste” it into your browser. Or, perhaps, you already saw that name in the Myrtle Traxler Family Tree? I “own” that tree but it was prepared by a cousin who passed away and I saved her years of research from ending up in a dumpster. I can’t add any further information. Hopefully, you can do Ancestry searches and build upon that information? Please let me know if this is helpful. Sending best wishes for “happy researching” from Lorraine Frantz (with Traxler ancestry).

Books versus computer ?

Couldn’t sleep… and I had a debate with myself about books versus computers. I love the computer!! However, I value the work that went into preparing and publishing a book. In my humble opinion, from what I see on Ancestry.com, many subscribers lack respect for accuracy. Computers have made it “too easy” to prepare a family tree. I’m “old school”–I love genealogy books.

P.S. I love clipart, too!!
