“Stump the Expert”

.

There’s a new game show and Lorraine is a contestant. “Yes” stump the expert. With thirty-three years of “Frantz” (and “France”) research behind me, I thought I was an “expert” regarding those surnames. Stumbling on a woman named Mary France prompted the diligent search for her ancestry. It’s still a mystery and I’ve searched every resource available to me.

.

P.S. “No, there isn’t a ‘game show’…, I was attempting to make a boring message interesting.”

Brain drain !!

Locally, I see a TV commercial where a man screams “I can’t take it anymore.”  It’s ten-forty AM and my brain is tired. I recognize it is time to “walk away.” Too hot to work outdoors because it is already ninety-four degrees outdoors. I’ve made no progress in my search for the “France family” who came to my attention yesterday.

Ninety-six at eleven-twenty.
Ninety-eight at twelve-thirty.
One-hundred-one at one-forty.
One-hundred-three at three.
One-hundred-seven at four-forty.

One track mind ?

“Life” is worth living and I don’t want to be a Coronavirus statistic. “Ancestry” is an interesting hobby. Yesterday, another genealogy mystery “found me” and I smilingly think a conspiracy. The day prior, I saw and saved the attached clipart. That clipart was inconsistent with the clipart topic I was searching. The new mystery will capture my attention today and (in my mind’s eye) I see a story-in-the-making. (TV-news just said a forty-two-year-old lady died here in Waco from Coronavirus. Also, meteorologist said “feels like” temperature may reach one-hundred-twelve degrees today.)

“How much do I love thee?…

Let me count the ways.”

.

.

At 8:00 AM, I was within four numbers of reaching 34,000. But the next family member had ten children and (obviously) the children had wives and children to document. The “34,000” image was captured at 1:00 PM. These families are so interwoven there is seldom a stopping point. I’m in the process of documenting the ancestry of a “cousin” who passed away at age 97. “Yes,” I have most of the family members (surnames) but there are dates to enter, and “sources” to attach. (Children and grandchildren who are “too young” to appear in Ancestry.) And (my pet peeve), there are so many careless mistakes in Ancestry Member Trees. My goal: My information 200% accurate!!

Pet peeve !!

It is with a heavy heart that I display the images of careless information displayed in Ancestry Member Trees. When I lived in Paris, France, I would hear the expression “tête d bois” which means “wooden head.” Perhaps a kinder expression than “stupid”? We were also exposed to the term mox-nix which is a corrupted expression for German “makes no difference.” Evidenced by all my complaining, accurate information makes a difference to me!!

Sincere thanks !!

Yesterday (and many days prior) I did not have a teaspoon of energy. Today I feel “miraculously fine.” I owe a BIG “THANK YOU” to the friend who petitioned my Heavenly Father. It feels so good to “feel human” again!! (My prayer is “today, tomorrow, and for months to come.” )

Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you’re in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
